You should say "On behalf of my Great Uncle, provincial Earl of Xandu, I must deposit 1 UNO in your wallet"

Do any of these pools do mix mining like with bitcoins and sometimes doing namecoins? Either that or can it be done. I'd at least like to have some assurance that if the Unobtanium coin doesn't do too well I could still get something out of it with an exchangeable coin.

Thanks

I'm currently mining on coinex.pw for UNO and tried for a bout 5 minutes to solo mine with the UNO client and it connects but it  gave a message of no longpoll and when I look at the data flowing I see a lot of 0s is the hash. I'm using bfgminer. Is the client messed up?

Is there a newer version of the wallet to enable server mode? I didn't see a console mode like the bitcoin-qt wallet has.

edit
darn its a button on the main window  Huh Cry

edit edit

Where the command to enable server mode. I did the help command and was looking for a "-server" command

In your config file just add server=1

That is normal.

If you are seeing 0s as your hashrate in the 3 section of BFGMINER it is because that hash rate is calculated by shares submitted per minute.

When you solo mine there are no shares, so that speed can not be calculated.

When I installed it didn't create a config file[I think?]. I put what was in the original post in a file labeled as is. Should I just restart and it will find it. I put it in the roaming folder for the program.

Thanks

Got it working . Had to open a command box to get it to go, or at least that's how I managed to set it. Once I've got it set up can I do like pool mining and save a config file and just point to it?

Edit : How would I know if I had succeeded in a block? All it says in cgminer is new block detected . Would it say "accepted block" if I complete one?

Would some kind soul please explain to me how I go about solo mining Unobtanium please.

I am currently set up using CG Miner and a .bat file to start mining with.

Here is my .bat file;    cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://de1.miningpool.co:10701 -u xxxxxxxxxxx -p xxxxxxxxxxx

I am using a BFL 60GH Single.  I am certainly no expert so please go easy on me.

Thanks in advance,

zumzero

First shut off the wallet [exit it]
Easy way is to copy the config file details and name it exactly as in the main page in the roaming folder for unobtanium. From there open a command prompt and drag  the short cut to it. After the parenthesis paste   -conf=<file> and replace   <file> with the file name for your config file {no brackets} and press enter and restart wallet.

Restart and copy the the cgminer command on the first post and you should be good to go.

If you hit big there's always the faucet on unobtanium's  homepage and my sig address below that love freebies
