did anyone managed to do a chargeback if they paid by Paypal.?
Pretty sure the answer is yes. I would check the fightalpha site and go through this thread carefully. They will not make it easy, but the logic to try is that others were granted refunds well past pay pals deadline. Gather what evidence you can, including coindesk articles and bitpay severing ties. If none of that works, file bbb complaint. May work out if you keep pounding at them and refuse to take no for an answer. They'll say it's past some timeframe, as did my cc company, but simply this was a pre-paid item, you had no way of knowing there was a problem until after that period had expired. Also do not forget to document their issues with consumer law in the UK. Go back through this thread for details on that.

Looks like my post forced Alpha to respond, check out their latest update--it's even more of a circus clown car ride than I could've imagined: https://alpha-t.net/news/developmental-update-08022015/"We encountered a few issues with finalizing development ..." Oh boy, who would've seen this coming? "Our system design process is currently going through some tweaking so we can identify the best solution ..." In other words, your first second THIRD(?) DESIGN HAS FAILED. Tweaking? Tweaking is a few pieces of code change. They're examining DC regulator swaps and board changes!"We could have taken the easy way out and shipped sooner like other companies but we didn’t want potentiality faulty and underperforming hardware that lacked durability ..." Rather than ship anything at all when it would at least make something in return, even if it was a worthless amount of crypto, what they're doing is trying to refine efficiency so as to make it seem like they're being helpful. Any percent of efficiency gains would be more than lost because difficulty hops quicker. I don't think any of the world's best horror / comedy writers could've come up with a more entertaining batch crap than Alpha has. They find new ways to drag and beat the carcass down the road, every single time. I feel like they should at least ship out something, maybe a box of pencils with the person's name on it or something. At least then folks could solve for hashes by hand using some paper.

Here are some images with the boards inside the 50Mh/s system: Reads as though they are potentially going to be shipping the equivalent of a box of pencils and paper if they're making a '50Mh/s' miner.

This is crazy. I would much rather just have an inefficient unit than no unit at all.

Wow. An update that said pretty much nothing, but implied they were better than every other manufacturer because they haven't shipped ANYTHING. What are these guys smoking. I'm guessing they got a call from GMP so thought they had better post something before the Fraud Squad kicked their door in. That Viper looks pretty ghetto and seems to be the only one in existence. There's not even a pic of another case. Just the same battered piece of junk from their other "updates". This is a real dog and pony show.

If you were looking for any actual info, that ain't it. greetings miners! Uhhh, what miners would that be. Not alpha customers, that's for sure. A miner without a miner is not a miner, it's some lucky person that threw their money down a hole and now gets to listen to silly bullshit from some jackass that is too smart by half and is fooling nobody.

Soon you'll see their equipment in marine shops, being sold as rowboat drift anchors.

So, they've redesigned the board so that instead of 3 texas instruments pre-fabricated DC regulators at $50 each - they now use 12 Altera regulators at $22 each.

I think that's an assumption, although there's no delivery in sight and these are already so late they are useless. If you can get your money back I would do so. If you still want script miners you can get them elsewhere and likely at a better price.
