It's normal. It's just a correction because of the very long run last year. I believe that on the last quarter of 2018. All coins will become stable, specially the altcoins. Many ICO on this year was devastated because of the very dump of the Bitcoin. But it's normal because it is only a correction.

There is no distinction in the market between alts and bitcoin in my opinion, there's not year of bitcoin or year of alts, everything is related to bitcoin so if bitcoin will have a good run it will simply be a year of cryptocurrency, well i think all in all we will see a lot of development in this year because of those regulation and stand point of the government regarding cryptocurrencies.

Yes the beginning of this year , altcoins start to dip and so the bitcoin , and its been three months now that we are experiencing the downfall of altcoins and bitcoin value , but this downfall in price of altcoins are just only temporary and it will be back again in rise once the king rises its price. I think that the correction is not over yet. And most likely we will go below $6k for 1 btc. l.think the situation will become clear closer to the summer - autumn I think we repulse from $4k 

As far as signal technical analysis, the price of bitcoin is hard to go below $7,200 per 1 BTC. BTC have very strong support point at price range $7100-$7,200.
For altcoins, altcoins price depend on the price of Bitcoin if Bitcoin recover then they, too and otherwise. If we research price history of crypto market we easy see that 1st quarter yearly the market always goes down and it will goes up strong on 2nd quarter.

Let me just correct you, its 3 months already. I don't know if you can call it strange though. The problem with us is because we used to see parabolic rise of crypto and of course our investments. But when year 2018 comes in, we all started at the wrong foot that's why the market went into crypto winter and we are still not out of it yet.

However, this is just another challenge that we need to overcome and I'm sure that altcoins will experience growth at the start of Q2 and then continue to rise at the end of the year. Just like we witness like year. I just advise not to be too excited so that you won't get disappointed.

I think within a month or two the price will soon change, as the rising bitcoin and ethereum increase. and will be very strong in the end of the year or the fourth quarter as last year.
