We're trying to keep the misinformation to zero. Your post said the fork was at 130000.

This is a peer-to-peer based currency. We can't control which IP addresses people use to run their clients. But I'll pass your report along to the development team nonetheless.

The guy said nothing happened after the change, all I did was make light hearted humor of the situation. I am sorry.

Thank you for passing the message on MicroGuy.

Gave this a try and my first block find was rejected. I don't think your patch worked.

The patch does not take effect until block 103000. After that block, please allow a few hours for difficulty to normali

Well into the 103066+ range and still the majority come back rejected with your 51% block. Can you help explain more how the difficulty will allow for successful blocks, what dificulty do you think that will be?

Although the difficulty algorithm fix took effect at block 103000 it will take several hours for it to normalize as it adjusts by no more than (something like) 141% every 2 hours. The developers will continue monitoring the situation closely.

Yes, it's happening with my wallet most of the time when I launch it. I mentioned this already on the forum some months ago. This warning can come from different IPs. I don't know the reason, and I can understand that it's not GLD developers' spam, but it's still happening. By the way, it's the only wallet on my PC which KIS reacts to this way. I think GLD guys finally should do something to fix this problem.

apparently cryptsy and Vicurex don't like goldcoin, either. It has been removed for days, now, from cryptsy.
dern and I actually thought it had a chance to do something.

 Cry

It's never been listed on Vircurex and we asked Cryptsy to pause trading until our network is stable.

I think this is normal, but I will relay your debug information to the developers for review.

We anticipate giving Cryptsy the okay to resume trading within the next few days. Thank you for your patience.

I wish you the best of luck, but remember there is a reason all the Goldcoin pools are closed right now.  Wink

My pool (gld.cryptocoinmine.com) while closed to the public, has been up for private testing. Though with my personal rigs I am about half the hash  rate of the network, I have yet to get an accepted block.

EDIT: Corrected the address of MY OWN POOL.... Grin  I have been up far too long.....

Thanks Microguy,

Surely difficulty should have levelled out now but it seems broken I have still only got one block since the fork... haven't got another block since I last messaged here, did you hear anything back from the developers/debug team?

nice they mine while the rest of us are down.

good luck with that.
Having half the network hash rate, doesn't that give you the chance to 51% it? Exactly what they are fighting?
Fair?
So you must have half of all the coins mined?

I don't think that's very kosher, is it?

bad juju..........

Nobody is 51% anything, though it appears I have half the hash rate, that may or may not be accurate at this point. I need to mine to see when it is appropriate to open the pool again. One can always solo mine until the pools are back up, the pools use the same daemon as everybody else. I am only testing with my personal mining rigs, so I am gaining no advantage.

But like I have said, at the time I had found zero blocks. I am now up to 5 blocks. There are some new announcements on my pool gld.cryptocoinmine.com.

FYI: He didn't have 1/2 of the actual hashrate of the network, he had 1/2 of the "client reported" hashrate which was significantly lower (at that time).

I have opened the pool (gld.cryptocoinmine.com) on a test basis.

I will work on getting the coins distributed from the old pool/wallet over the next couple of days.

Just a reminder that the pool is now vardiff, so miners difficulty will be adjusted to get around ~8 shares a minute. The value of the shares is based on the difficulty the miner is set at.

Also, please check that your mining software is set correctly, I had to delete one pool_worker (not account) this morning as it had submitted ~3,000 invalid shares.
