At this point, i believe it is not important Nakamoto's real name. He proved even being anonymous that he is honest.

I'm pretty sure that a person's choice to remain anonymous is not proof enough for being honest.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/05/us/shawshank-fugitive-caught/index.html

Freshwaters lived anonymously for decades, ergo an honest man.

The product he made, talks about honesty, not his anonymity.

Have you heard that most bitcoin wallet addresses can be traced to their owners?

Also, have you heard that ALL btc wallet addresses can be untraceable?

Touché!

I nominate you to replace Vlad on this thread.

Nice post.

BTW, if you replace Vlad, you have to provide your own duck.

Wait, what! My theory isn't included? --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Harris_Simons

My IQ is too low to replace the prince of darkness.Im to stoopid and I only get time to post between flipping big macs and checking the fries.I do have a duck though but no matter how I train the fucker he still wont come back with some greenbacks in his beak.Good job this joint is not a chinese or he would be crispy style by now...Useless bird

Thats a good candidate there alright.I think a young Irishman (southern variety) by the name of Michael Clear looked up to him for inspiration too. http://www.scss.tcd.ie/~clearm/bitcoin.html

I forget where it came from maybe off the forum here somewhere.Another theory suggests that computer scientists Donal O'Mahony and Michael Peirce/pierce are Satoshi, based on a paper that they authored concerning digital payments, along with Hitesh Tewari, based on a book that they published together. O’Mahony and Tewari also studied at Trinity College, where Michael Clear, a graduate cryptography student at Dublin's Trinity College was a student.

Of course we could go all the way around the clock and get back to Nick Szabo etc etc but who would like to wager a slice of pizza on who satoshi really is/are?

Sorry to interrupt the debate Gleb and Wiked, just waned to hear the crypto veterans opinion on a new factor that I noticed today.

Bitcoin was(and still is) great cause it didn't have an inflation problem. Now look at what it's happening now with the difficulty jumps up and down - miners get more BCH when it's difficulty lowers and they switch back to BTC when it gets higher.

Last 7 days miners got 64% more BCH than ever before.
Last 3 days (till 20 hours ago) they got 130% more BTC than they've mined ever before, at least this spring-summer.

With this, we've got a "bonus" of 10% transaction fee for btc and a lot of delay in transaction speed, didn't count it, I just see it is taking a lot longer.
Same with BCH, we had a few hours of blockchain almost fully frozen, no matter the transaction fee.

It looks like they want to destroy each other and at this point I don't see how it can be stopped.

What Bitcoin will be the Bitcoin if BTC and BCH will inflate and will begin to collapse?

Well, Ixcoin of course!  Grin

BitcoinTalk is a highly censored cesspool primarily serving as a vehicle to operate scams.
Pointing out truth or straying from the promoted narrative will be met with shills spouting non sequiturs.
Trust ratings are meaningless as those who control them are not worthy of trust.

As you folks have seen in my comment - I was addressing inflation.
IXCoin already has 21 million coins supply, 5 millions more than Bitcoin, so I know you are joking, just waned others to know as well.

Where's the logic in that?  Bitcoin has 42+ million coins and many more coming.

Everytime bitcoin splits everyone gets an equal amount on each new chain.  That's dilution.  100% dilution each time.  There are now at least 3 splits so I was being generous with only 42 million.  And more splits are coming.  Bitcoin is being minted and diluted more than the Venezuelan trash bills.  That's a simple and true fact that few seem to get.

Well, he didn't say in circulation. 42 million is 21 million BCH + 21 million BTC.
As far as I'm concerned
Bitcoin is now BCH + BTC.
BCH is the true successor and segwit is an illegitimate takeover by blockstream and the btcfoundation.
Taxes should be low or nonexistent.
Craig Wright has a high probability of being Satoshi Nakamoto.

and of course, Ixcoin will ascend to its rightful position as a prominent chain.

BINGO!!!  This guy gets it.

But there are others splits and more coming so it's ridiculous.  People don't understand that's literally like printing new bills, it's massive dilution.  I agree about Dr. Wright, he's got the goods and the playbook, I'd follow whatever chain he goes to - he's a very high probability of success.

I got your point, but they are 2 different coins, I really don't think BTC has 42 million coins cause of the August's split, of course, people are different and they have different opinions, I respect your's, otherwise I wouldn't comment here.

You are promoting IXcoin, I get that, but it's not going to happen.
