Diversifying is a good choice but you know your capital is small for 15-20 coins you would like to invest in, its better to pick the best 5 coins so you can split your capital in still good amount for each.
There are many coins in cmc and its a bit hard to choose what could be the one that can give us huge profit in the future. If I were to give you the 5 coins of my choice that's btc, eth, ltc, neo and iota. Better to do your own research about the coins you want to invest in then decide after.

for long term eth is very good, especially this sekrang many who use eth as their platfrom.

What's the best way to diversify starting with $500. I am overwhelmed right now with all the coins i am interested in. I'm just not sure if i should be only focused on the top 10 or can i pick xxx coin that's ranked between #40-#150. I can say i like about 15-20 coins/tokens i just feel that's way to many for $500. I would like to put half in blue chip coin and invest in some alts with the remaining half. I was thinking put $50 into 4 atls???

Im glad if you have interested to spend your money for jump to the world cryptos. So id you're asking what is the bestt what to make your money be better. I can guaratee about cryptos, due everythings possbile to chance move up or down. Just be smart if you would to do some trade then like you've interested for long terms. I'll sugest for keep Bitcoin and wait. |

I guess people now has the strongest believe that falling will stop, because it is going already for 2 months, so I think it is worth risking to invest now.

With the kind of money that you have planned to put into alts at this time, the best strategy for you would be to find some really low cap alts that have market caps of less than 3 million. If any of these explodes you could end up making good money. Check coinmarketcap to find low cap coins and do extensive research on hidden gems. BTW OPUS and Rebellious seem to be a good project to me, check them out if you want.

you can focus on the top altcoin, but I think there are still other options you can do. almost 90% of altcoin is down at the moment. some altcoin is cheap enough for you to buy. and i can only recommend it for eth, waves and ripples. |

Due to low main coins volatility i think you should follow the altcoins' rates to earn more.
Rates of main coins are not so attractive today, like months ago.
So altcoins are main gainers nowadays.

If you invest now then you should not cash out the funds till the last week of December ad there will be many pumps and dumps coming up in next 7 months. It's always risk investing but it's worth risking in this situation. |

500$ is not so much of a big amount but it's okay. You should go for coins that have low market capitalization, good use cases, solid team and that have lost more than 70-80% of its all time high prices.

If I have $500 the I would invest some in bitcoin and ethereum. Then some of the altcoins like neo, litecoin and ripple. I think these cryptocurrencies will be worth investing this year. They are also recommended by some trusted individuals of the digital currency world.

Maybe if you want to invest for the long term in the next few months you can choose to invest in an ICO, I often hear people who invest in an ICO get a very good profit, but with a note choose or find a quality ICO or a potential success. I guess that's not a problem if you want to try it. Goodluck!

Yes the market now look on oversold and its times to get some coins that has strong fundamental, pick minimum 2 different coins and maximum 5 coins to be more easy to handle it. In my opinin coins in the top 10 ranking is better , like ETH, DASH, ADA, NEO, XLM. I believe these coins can going up multiple times in a few month.

You can diversify your capital half on bitcoin and choose 2 to 3 coin on the top 10 coins as it has high chances price will increase few months from now.

you can buy altcoin below $ 1. nowadays there are plenty of cheap altcoins that you can search for every potential. I can not predict with certainty. but at least I always involve research first before actually investing or trading. but the easiest is trading, you can develop that capital and become doubled |

$500 is not much money so will better use that money for day trading so you can turn that money in to $5000 in a few month, but you should be have best trading plan and strategy. Spend times to learn technical analysis will help to decide when best times to buy and sell. And to be expert trader is need times and process so always patient for that.
