Well If I were you, I will split it into four and and use to invest in some good ICO that have gone down below their ICO prices and wait for a long term.

Focus to make research all coins in 20 top ranking Coinmarketcap, spend times to make analysis in fundamental one by one of each coins. But in my opinion all crypto is bubble so will be better to trade that your money, buy 2 or 3 different coins like NANO, ETH, NEO and hold it in a few month and then sell it, and buy back at lower price.

I think that you have to invest a part of these 500 in Neonexchange because it still is under the radar and has many remarkable things. And it is very strongly underestimated, in my opinion, at the moment. And you receive a good piece because of its cheap price. EOS is also a good coin for investments.

If you are newbie, better to invest and hold the stocks in the top 10 coins. But, if you are able to figure out the outcomes of the lower top, which can cause more profit, do this way.

with such a relatively small amount, even if top 10 coins were to double their market cap, you'd still just end up with $1000.
it's better to invest into a coin/token that is in an early stage(low market exposure), if you do your research and find a good investment, you could make that $500 into $5,000 or (alot) more the next bullrun

consider yourself lucky as that amount can currently get you very good coins. you can but 1ether,which i strongly recommend, or venture into other cheaper alts with good potential live NEO. you can also buy small units of BTC

Why not go with this money to a promising ICO? In my opinion, this would be a win-win option, since you definitely do not lose anything. In the worst case, your $ 500 will stay with you. I think I'd put it in $MAN or $VEN...or perhaps more of a high risk project like $TIO or $INS. Many options to choose from, perhaps even getting some eth and wait until it reaches ath again would be an option?
