A few months ago there was an issue with Etherdelta and some people lost their ETH and tokens.
Has the issue been fixed, is it safe now?
Yes I remember this well, I too would like to know, just for curiosities sake. I've always figured that a decentralized exchange like delta would be the target of hackers. I never made any transactions on any exchanges besides Coinbase and circle, being that they are both seemingly trustworthy, and some what centralized. A little bit of centralization can be a good thing, in my own opinion on the matter.

No doubt that u can use as it`s decentralized but as there r many vulnerability in ETH smart contract so it might get another attack so it's better use other decentralized exchanges to convert ur fund.

Etherdelta is one of the most popular exchanges of cryptocurrency since it trades the largest number of tokens. Do not be afraid to trade on it because it has a positive reputation for a long time.

As far as I know there is no safe place on the internet such as exchanges, wallets. Especially etherdelta, if I don't have to, I don't use this platform.

day by day etherdelta users began to switch to the delta fork on the grounds that forkdelta has a higher comfort for its users and even some are traumatized because etherdelta is always in trouble.

Well, I don't know well since I have never tried to buy or sell tokens here. However a friend of mine not suggest me to use etherdelta. She said that etherdelta wasn't safe enough since it requires us to give a private key, so our ethereum wallet could potentially be hacked.

After last year attack users doesn't seems to trust etherdelta anymore. The user of the famous decentralised exchange tend to use forkdelta more these days. Though i won't guarantee you to trade on either of the two you can trade there at your own risk.

Etherdelta was really famous some months ago but since his core developer "Zack" was fired nothing seems to be like in the past. Etherdelta was hacked by dns some months ago and hackers stole a lot of ethereum. Now a lot of people moved to forkdelta or idex.

Maybe etherdelta is safe, but nobody will answer you for sure. I use IDEX Aurora and sometimes ForkDelta and use a wallet with a small amount of money

Safe or not, but still some of us are still continuing using that website to get the cheapest kind of alternative coins. If that is not safe, it will be reported already, but the question is, I can't find any useful link about accusation or some issue for etherdelta.com.

Even if they fixed the problem, I will never trade on etherdelta or forkdelta. I do not trust these exchanges, and I never will. I prefer to use binance, kukoin, bittrex

I don't have experienced using Etherdelta exchange that is why i am intrigue in this thread because i want to know more about Etherdelta. But as you have mentioned that we need to give up our private key on that exchange i think it not safe to do that. Our wallet would be vulnerable to attack.

Hackers can hack into anything. No exchange is immune from hacking. Exchanges enhance their security, but also the experience and skills of hackers are growing. The same applies to wallets on the computer. This is an eternal confrontation.

it seems that for now Etherdelta is quite safe to use, but because of frequent hacking on etherdelta makes its users start withdrawing from etherdelta and not using it anymore then choosing to switch to other exchanges like IDEX.

i think it depends on how u interact with etherdelta. think best to do it thru metamask, heard that it's safer. i'm not a tech guru on this though.
