I do not understand the recent fascination with people wanting to collect 800 or 1,000 satoshi every hour by hitting faucets. That was never my intention with freebitco.in. I always made it to be a place where people could have a bit of fun and play for a shot at winning a significant prize. The low rewards are in place simply so that if you do not win a big prize, you at least get something.

Well, if that's your goal, why not tweaking the payout structure to increase chances of winning anything higher than basic payout? Say, something between 10-20% instead of current 1.14%.

Judging on my referred list, it looks like most people would click few times and then let it go. Giving higher chance of winning even just slightly higher amount could give a small psychological boost to the users and could help maintain active users base.

Just my suggestion. It's your site and your decision.

Maybe users would prefer to have a larger shot at winning $20 with no chance of winning $200. It is too much of a risk to adjust the payout tiers directly so I would need to run some tests to get a better idea of what kind of prizes people would prefer to win.

For me higher change for 20$ without change of winning 200$ sounds good.

I get that. I wasn't talking about increasing rewards, but just about tweaking payout tiers.

imho, 3-4 tiers, with ~10% chance of winning something bigger than basic payout (ie 3*basic) could work better for you in terms of retaining users (I haven't done any math on this so not sure if feasible).

If I had to choose between the current system and higher chance of winning $20 I'd go for the latter. But that's just my preference.

I think someone picked up on how the lottery works and are investing quite a lot of money into trying to win it. Lately the jackpot 1st prize is much bigger than what it used to

be and the winning tickets are much more too.. for some time the 1st prize was won with very little tickets. If the system works as the website states, the people who owns

the most tickets, should in theory dominate the 1st spot winnings and it seems to be the case lately. It is nice to see weekly 1st prizes and second prizes above 1 BTC.

1 ticket costs 17sats. You also get FREE ticket for each 8500 sat wagered, but that's not the cost of the ticket.

no a ticket costs only about 17 +-1 depends on bitcoin prices but for 8500 it isfor every 8500 satoshi wagered in the dice game you get a free lottery tickets and the reason for the prize getting higher is that users started to buy more tickets and play dice more

3 000 000 and 9 000 000 tickets and that means they are dumping at least 1.53 BTC on this lottery. That person who won the 10th prize of 0.00590555 BTC ....spend 1.53 BTC

in tickets. That is just crazy... or something is wrong here. Why spend  $600+ to win $2.7? .....There has to be some group of people who is sharing the prize.

But how do you know he/they bought the tickets? It's probably easier to earn them by gambling. Example: set auto-bet with a base bet at 85000 sats (10 tickets per roll) at payout ~x1.1125 and increase base on loss at ~x10, if you have large balance, with bit of luck you can earn thousands if not millions of tickets while actually making a profit.

But personally I think those could relate to the top referrers (you also earn ticket for each roll of your referee).

Interesting observation Mr Holmes, I did not see the recent addition of the " 1 ticket for every 0.00008500 BTC that you wager in the MULTIPLY BTC game! " ...thank you for

pointing that out to me. I just cannot see how people would risk using the multiply option, because I have never been very successful with that part of the faucet. If the

person got those tickets from the referral side, we would have noticed it before in some of the other draws. It has never been this high... only averaging at about 1 BTC per

week for the last couple of months.
