Having picked up a few tickets automatically at some point over the past 6 months that's one lottery I really wouldn't like to win right now but I'm not expecting the draw to take place either.

In the past year and a half, there have been many issues with freebitco and as stated above by cesmak, withdrawals are not working.
Of course, if you have $30 worth of bitcoin, that should be less than the minimum withdrawal limit of freebitco which is 0.0003 BTC and even if withdrawals were working, you wouldn't be able to withdraw your fund.

Ever since The Quin mysteriously stepped down from his role, Ive had my suspicions that something fishy is going on behind the scenes.

BUT I also dont think the site has changed ownership.  It seems like they may have just redirected their resources to other forms of business.  They own a few other casino brands, right?

I wonder if The Quin is still employed by Freebitcoin because after it was announced he was being moved to another part of the business, he was not heard from again (even by posting in a private capacity). There are far too many suspicions surrounding the business ownership and members simply do not believe them. I have no idea which brands they own.

Legal requests, to which they have responded by blocking IP addresses from certain countries, have been sent to FBC BV, the same company that operated the website since TheQuin was still on the forum. They are still using the same Ethereum wallets they’ve had for the past 4 years. Their old hot wallet, that they’ve used since 2017, was still being used to process withdrawals earlier this year, long after their problems had started.

In my opinion, assumptions that ownership changed hands seem to be based on gut feelings alone, and not on any conclusive evidence.

It is feasible the business was not sold at all if the wallets remain the same. There are valid concerns regarding withdrawals and the general decline in customer services but removing The Quin and withdrawal processing delays are not enough to conclusively conclude the business changed hands.

After they sent the last email about delayed withdrawal I was expecting some more action by them.
Continue to run the business for COLLECTING payment like it was everything fine, it's not a good sign, if you look that support and even social networks are shut down.

Personally I have just few satoshi left here, but the "ideological scam" made by them (they have been famous for many many years) seems one of the worst made by historical bitcoin websites.

I wonder how many users are currently in a situation where their sats are stuck on the freebitcoin website because the team is not processing withdrawals. It seems that it has long been clear that this site should be avoided, but some people continue to take the risk anyway.

Oddly enough, when I checked just now, neither of those sites are working for me. They seem to be shut down.  They also been removed from the Funtoken website, though they are still stuck in the menu on the Freebitcoin site.

I did not know the names of the associated sites. If they are no longer operating it might I could be wrong but it seems as long as the doubt surrounding ownership is not unequivocally removed from the equation, members will be waiting for some sort of exit scam to take place. It seems as though their customers have not entirely abandoned Freebitcoin but the damage is done and their reputation will probably never recover.

Well, now we just have to wait for the freebitcoin site to shut down. If the assumptions that the freebitcoin team has abandoned the platform and is not going to renew the domain registration turn out to be true, then there is only a week left before the site is shut down.

One thing is shutting down services which were a branch of their casino, because they were not profitable and could not keep them afloat in the long term, but a completely different thing would be to stop all support for their FUN token, as it was pretty much marketed as a fundamental part of their gambling ecosystem and a valuable asset within the world of gambling as an investment and native token of one of the biggest casinos in the history of Bitcoin... If it is true they are going to sunset their support for FUN, then I am afraid we are going to see massive losses for those who decided to trust this casino with their capital and also those who are holders of the token, this is pretty much a token which depended on the utility and reputation of Freebitcoin...

It is crazy how I was about to swap Bitcoin in order to buy this token a year ago, for the sake of getting money out of it...

Yeah they can do that since they have millions of registered users in their site base on what has been written by btcgosu https://www.btcgosu.com/review/freebitco-in-casino/ and provably they can still make their platform became more profitable if they choose to do those what you have mentioned. Then take advantage with the userbase or supporters they have.

But what is most known acquisition they made is for their FUN token. They bough it from FunFair Technologies https://bitcoinist.com/freebitco-in-acquires-3-75-billion-fun-tokens-to-strategically-promote-adoption/

Maybe they are focusing to build or make Freebitco.in more better, rather than acquiring other sites.
