Question: will the May 1st alpha release include a download for Firefox as well? I only see the code for the Chromium extension on GitHub.

Sorry a bit late but no :-P But we're not forgetting firefox, just that we prefer to have a stable version on chromium/chrome before starting the "port".

I haven't seen anything about plans for an API, so people can write clients for it like Bitcoind. Anything coming?

When will Dark Wallet come out of Alpha stage? Why would you support Chrome first, when it's obviously less respecting of your freedoms than Firefox? Nobody in their right mind would use bitcoin software with wording like: IMPORTANT The wallet is Not Stable or Safe, and at this point you should use it with real money only at Your Own Risk.

You should use Chromium which is open source. The Firefox port should be coming soon. Nobody in their right mind would use bitcoin software with wording like: IMPORTANT The wallet is Not Stable or Safe, and at this point you should use it with real money only at Your Own Risk. It is in alpha... you aren't supposed to use real Bitcoins until it at least moves into Beta which will probably be a few more months. You are supposed to use testnet coins and help test the software at this stage.
