Check out the Ominous Network pool, we are doing giveaways for two gtx 1080ti's. We are still small, but are growing fast! We are also running 0% fees right now in order to grow! Come check us out and happy mining! #Spreadthehash

I'm back checking it out with brian's nevermore and avermore miners mining pigeoncoin. Maybe I'll mine some raven when all the drama surrounding the coin dies down.

I want to try and create my own rvn pool SmileySmileySmiley

I am very comfortable with linux and been a miner since sept 2017.  I want to get my toes wet with setting up a pool for folks (RVN)

Any suggestions where I can start to learn?  And those that have pools any guides or tips you can share?

Thanks folks

I don't know what is wrong in my earnings
I've been mining raven for 10 days now, ravencalc.xyz says that should ear around 351.22
the miner that i'm using is ravencoin miner 2.5 and and the esitamated earning that it shows every 5 shares is 315
I'm mining on ravenminer.com pool and it's quite stable and constant with the payments, thats why i don't get it, i get only 250/260 RVN each a day

there are no fees involved considering that the pool had 0 and i set the miner with 0 fee too

Are those estimated right? or i will always get like 30% less?
Waiting for any usefull answer or advice

BTW nice project

Your hash rate will go up and down during the day depending on the hashing algorithm. There are 16 algorithm (hence x16r).
The hash rate that you are seeing every 5 shares is for a current hashing algorithm at the time. It can be the highest or lowest of the day.
To be a little more precise, you should get the average hash rate to put in the calculation.
You can estimate the average by looking at the second chart on the ravenminer.com pool's worker stats.

Already did and ravencalc shows 350 coins

You should use whattomine.com to calculate. It has more parameters to put in. It give me very close to what I earn in 24h.
https://whattomine.com/coins/234-rvn-x16r?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=105&p=1500&fee=0.0&cost=0.1&hcost=7000&commit=Calculate

285, i still never do that amount, i can understand that sometimes it should be lower and sometimes higher, but i'm always below by 10 or 20%

Once I put in my Average hash rate, I find ravencalc.xyz calculates coins a little high. I agree that Whattomine is a little closer. But your difference seems too much. You should be able to calculate your average ( try this as a bench mark for avg hash rate and earnings - should be close enough https://www.crypto-coinz.net/crypto-calculator/ Enter your GPU and see what it says).

If your 24 hour results are more than 10% less than the bench marks, then it's time to start messing with things like your pool, your miner, your settings... etc.

For me, I am hitting the bench mark within 1% with 22x1070ti and 5x1070, TP between 70-80%, core +100, mem -100, Enemy 1.05a, on Suprnova (but I've mined more than 25kRVN on each pool I've tried - RVNPool, Threeeye, Ravenminer and now Suprnova).

Still around 15% lower, where can i download enemy 1.05a the link that i found doesn't pass Windows security when i download it, something that didn't happen with 1.03, ccminer and ravencoin 2.5

here is a direct link to 1.05a (https://mega.nz/#!ZTw30ZBb!4CCdGOlyUduGjb9Xn9eCFVtrCaIPB4Ck-jJII0HR6W0)- from the official channel in the discord from Enemy. there is a built-in commission, I do not find differences from the same suprminer-1.6 - the more there is no built-in commission ... while I stay on it.

For holding RVN, not selling; is it better to store RVN's in the Raven Core Wallet or have them at Crypto Bridge?

Ravencoin is Bitcoin but with priority of future commits prioritizing assets rather than being cash or digital gold.

Mr. Fenton, if RVN is geared towards "prioritizing assets rather than being cash or digital gold" do you see the price increasing and if so what would be the basis of the increase?

Also: if a company uses RVN to tokenize their voting, I think you said 500 RVN, is that 500 removed from the overall pool of RVN.   Thank  You.

But there is already  a lot of coins with smart contracts option.  Why would they  choose RVN instead?

My understanding is not another protocol layer like smart contracts. Devs explained it pretty well in the interview linked a few pages back.

Always better to store coins at a wallet where only you own the private key as long as you take appropriate safety and security measures.

Kindly words. This is one of the most valuable lessons in the crypto world. Losing private keys, seeds are among the most terrible scenarios that crypto investors, miners can face with.
It is always better, safer to store private keys, seeds safely in different ways and at different locations.

Visit these links for more info on the people and parties behind ravencoin! Not as community centered as they'd have you guys believe! But thats ok, transparency is coming soon, and there's no reason it should be feared or FUDed!

http://www.mediciventures.com/
http://www.chainstonelabs.com/

and the hourly paid community leaders/mods/admins from https://www.overstock.com/

And the political arm of Ravencoin: https://www.fsp.org/

More docs and a fun disclosure of the stuff going on behind the scenes coming soon. AMA that will include 3i info, the otc shutdown info, cryptobridge info, rubberchicken scamming bruce fenton doc, and lots more. Feel free to ask the community in discord! But they're mostly overstock employees and corporate/poltical friends, so don't worry if they end up getting weird.

Remember these companies work for the community, not the other way around!

Miss you RubberChicken, why'd you scam Bruce? JK. We can address that later! No reason to keep this stuff secret anymore! The cypherpunk manifesto clearly outlines the difference bewteen secrecy and privacy! Great coin, great devs, great community, but corporate controlling interest is very real. Be mindful going forward RVNfam, long live Ravencoin, long live miners!

A lot of this was already known to some of us - I had hinted towards that in the other thread - but one thing that completely slipped by me: FSP the "political arm" of Ravencoin? Clear to explain that?

Great question. Bruce Fenton himself is a free stater, libertarian. He moved to my state last november. The OTHER half of the planted community in Ravencoin are libertarian kids (FSP kids) from my state and beyond (hence their coordinated trolling efforts with the Overstock crew). Ravencoin was actually announced at the Free State Digital Assets Conference in December 2017, a Bruce Fenton/Chainstone lead event in New Hampshire, USA. I am not of any of these groups, so very simple (and legal, mind you) moves by me to keep these groups from holding power in the Ravencoin "community" are met with massive trolling/spin efforts. You may have already seen how disproportionate/ineffective their efforts are.

But dont worry. The silent majority are true blockchain/Ravencoin fans! These people are just the most vocal, and aim to garner support by demonizing me and my efforts for the community at large (bad move, lol). Many have already turned over in their interest while never being truly informed of the attacks on me and special interest moves. I aim to change that! Well, already have Wink

Thanks for your question!

The controllers of this project are removing and deactivating Discord links around the net and harassing the fine staff of Btctalk to get my account removed. They are scared. They are cowards. Good people of the crypto world. Why do they fear you? Shiggidy (also a planted Discord admin, alongside Linky, server owner) if not on the payroll and acting in the interest of the community as he promised, will rectify this. If not, consider this a further admission of guilt by all parties I mentioned above, and further proof of their fear of you, the larger crypto community. They fear you. They fear Anonymous acts. Call for transparency, as the controllers of Ravencoin use acts of secrecy and justify them as privacy. They don't have much time left, and they don't want you to see what they don't want you to see. Listen to yourself, not others. Ask questions, never stop. Make them let you into ALL of OUR community platforms (for THEY own NOTHING) or consider it a measure of secrecy and a continued admission of their guilt & proof of their nature as controllers.

They want to get in front of their mistakes & missteps. That will never happen. I assure you

They work for us. The community is not their secrecy shield. They will fix the links, or they admit guilt by not doing so. Carry on good people.

For those interested in what brought this call for transparency about. I've recapped my experience in a YouTube video with those behind Ravencoin, and other controlling entities/individuals, over the last few months as a lead up to April 18th's AMA. Notice the link to their Discord is once again expired.

Link to video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQUGGvzDYaY&feature=youtu.be

If not interested, that's cool too! The video gives a brief history of the coin, the community's evolution (or de-evolution) and aims to provide a better perspective of past events for those coming in.

Long live Ravencoin! Long live community coins!

Is 3eyed explorer acting weird to you too? It tells me that my last payment was 11 hours ago. I see txid's on ravenminer but none of these payments after are visible on 3eyed's explorer and goddam ravenminer's explorer is so fucked up it only lets you to search txid's, not addresses. (or i couldn't figure it out somehow)

For example, last payment txid is this: (minutes ago)
b882f0d08a6e941b9942d0d3568ecf0a350ae9969c59af2e842c80c4b9073753

The other txid before: (few hours ago)
f6fcfe8f3f285ed8afaa0b27abdaedb78db711cc122a13cabbb4e4b8c6d245dc

But when i enter my address, 3eyed's block explorer don't show me these payments. Any idea what's going on? I also couldn't find an alternative block explorer.

Raven address is this: RTam4qSTrdWgYRSEdXKdV5Ekjq8qDB5EwN

edit: damn i see now these tx's don't have any confirmations and why the fck is that? is it ravenminer's turn to scam us now?

Because the others are old tech. Raven is crypto v4.0  Cool

Jokes aside i believe it would be because of Raven's decentralized nature. All of the other projects have known CEO's. Raven didn't even send somebody to create an official(!) ANN thread ffs. They don't sign contracts with the exchanges. All is community driven. If this is a bad thing or not, it is up to you.

Hi, I might be getting a MSI 1080 8GB and I was wondering, how good do the 1080's perform. I am having 4x1070 with total average about 35MH/s. Will a single 1080 get to 12 MH/s mark, or are the numbers on ravencalc overestimated?
