Question: My windows QT wallet is 5 days behind on 2 seperate computers. Tired just updating one to the most recent release but it still just says "unknown syncing headers(33947).  Any suggestions?  Huh Thanks.

Update: got it working, says Asset Activation 10/18/2018?

That's when the asset layer is going to be activated. have you ever read the announcement of this coin?

any more news or info about the 51% attack @ocminer ??

Bill Hicks was right about....everything
In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Ravencoin.com has had a recent face lift, and it's looking sharp!  Additionally, it is now built with static HTML, so anyone with web dev experience or ideas can submit PR's for the website through the github at https://github.com/RavenProject/ravenproject.github.io

Yea, website looks very nice. Static html is also a good choice in terms of security

This is just a friendly reminder about the open developer meeting being held today in the IRC chat (freenode network) today at 4:00 pm EDT / 8:00 pm UTC.  It will be in the #ravencoin-dev channel.  You can also view the live feed of the discussion in the Ravencoin Community discord #irc-ravencoin-dev channel.

Agreed with you with my heart to be honest RVN has no comparison with that fishy and centralized coin. RVN has more trusted and secure system will bring revolution in crypto space. I also believe it will change the life of strong believers.

The latest Ravencoin update is now available at https://github.com/RavenProject/Ravencoin/releases.  You can also find it by going to Ravencoin.com or Ravencoin.org and selecting the "Wallets" option at the top of the page of the former, or the "Download Binaries button on the main page of the latter.

This update adds a hotfix for a bug that was inherited from bitcoin which allows double spend attacks using the chain.  It is highly recommended that everyone update their wallets as soon as possible in order to help prevent these types of malicious attacks.

I wonder why this coin always follow another path than all the other altcoins. When everything is green, RVN doesn't budge or it drops. And on the other end, when altcoins dip, RVN stays still or raises.

Raven needs more than just Asic proof algo to rise. The crypto projects have advanced a lot with new ideas and approaches. The competition is strong

Like the "Ourcoin" for example? What new idea does this offer and you started an ICO for that? It's more likely for RVN to be implemented by stores than a new project with an unknown team.

Guys, let's stay positive, time will tell, you can't always get what you want, all that sorta thing, I still feel like Ravencoin is going to be extremely profitable Smiley

Kind of a general reply to some posts I've recently seen here.  IMO ravencoin is doing better than some of the various other cryptos out there.  A few recent ones with a similar approach to being ASIC proof, that don't seem to be doing that well.  They're not really on any significant exchanges and their hash rates aren't so great.

Other things I've noticed is a lack of updates on their blogs and Dev teams that don't seem to be organized.

I like the lack of an ICO because I've read a few times of the ICO raising millions on whatever coin and then it vanishes, aka mega fraud happening.

I am curious about the aftermath of the %51 attack but I also somewhat assume that the risk of one comes with block chain technology and any crypto in such an early stage of its life.  Starting to wonder that I should create an account and follow things on discord.

If there were a revenue-generating application do you think that would help showcase the value of Raven coin. Maybe something that secured assets, was used for subscriptions and a loyalty and reward program
