One of the reasons that Ravencoin is getting popular is because they are using X16R. As the category leader for a new algorithm they attract a lot of attention from GPU miners.
I know people hate GPU miners because they think they dump all their coins on the market... In my opinion they help new coins because they bring a lot of attention and free marketing to a project. GPU miners are making videos and telling their friends about Ravencoin. This multiplies as the new people tell their friends, link the project on their blog posts, podcasts, etc.
Just my opinion of course... and I'm biased because I have a lot of GPUs.

Hello guys I'd like to ask if which wallet are you using? I'm looking for a trusted lite wallet that don't need to download the whole nodes. I'm going to switch my miner to mine RVN I hope someone could help choose which wallet is safe that has lite version. OP wrote it as like it's two different thing but Medici Ventures is belong to Overstock. They are the same thing.
So, Overstock C-Level got interested in Crypto so much, they couldn't help themselves but to create a coin.
They say, no premine, no ICO but I'm quite sure they kept the mining rigs ready to dominate the game. After all, when mainnet gets launched someone needs to keep the network secure(!), am I right?
All this Binance and other exchanges happening because of Aggressive Marketing/Branding push by again, Overstock.
They got immense amount of experience in Business, I have no doubt that Overstock will do everything to make sure Raven stays relevant and popular.
Regardless what they do, Raven is a scam. A scam by Overstock. Anyone can contribute the network sounds like a bullshit to me. I'm sure they can but Overstock will keep the control all the time.
Long story short: Without Overstock, this coin is literally DEAD.
Token launch on platform? Sounds like C-Levels got super greedy want to achieve same success of Ethereum. (make no mistake, Ethereum is a scam too)
Community looks solid, algo looks unique, nice UI/Design but Overstock most likely the majority miner, dev teams probably getting funded by Overstock.
So, Meh. Just saying... Good luck though.

I am using windows 2.0.4 x64 and is working fine that is what I am using for last six months by doing upgrades when is available new version. Whole chain is still not big and takes only hours to reach to latest block depend on the speed of net. Raven coin has started to warm up continuously and latest move in part of this. Asset layer activation is big thing and expectation are increasing everyday.

I would like to say that is mind blowing journey which have so much fun after purchase during current situation making me feel so great. I think so asset layer implementation on the Mainnet will boost the growth of this coin and we will see real fun after this.

This was being totally expected as 31st of October was coming nearer but sudden listing on Binance changed the situation as some mates have expressed their feelings on the difference. Ravencoin is just flying high and high it doesn't matter how it performs in short term but it showed it's destination and direction in future will be towards high rankings to reach the top markets.

This is Binance which saw potential and added RVN coin without staying to think more. I will not be wonder if similar surprising moves from other exchanges specially from Coinbase to be made in coming days. There is no source but my own expectation seeing the development taking place around this project I assume few things happening anticipated.
