The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

This year will be a wild ride for Ravencoin. With big things coming to T0 exchange in March and dividend and messaging features added to RVN code this year, Ravencoin has a bright future ahead!

Burstcoin can do all this already and has been around way longer, but it's not going to the moon.

Jason Crowe destroyed all hope of that.  I used to be a big fan of Burst.

I'm still mining Burst and I trade them on the exchanges. They went to PoC2 and there's new wallets. You can CPU mine still and use your GPU for other mining at the same time. I use the few coins to help with electric cost on my RVN GPU mining. Burst has all these same features, messaging, asset exchange, dividend payouts, low fee's. Exactly what RVN dev's are trying to achieve. Jason Crowe and Mr. Burst thing is in the past, but your right that did hurt the coins rep.

When it pumped ? if some people think it is P&D then that has yet to come. Binance came out of audit as exchange with true volume from the research was published few weeks ago. If Binance which is run by credible people picked up RVN that clears doubts if anyone has in mind. This is serious deal but development takes time and there is no get quick rich such thing anymore.

Do you believe that RVN team is not aware of that and mining with FPGAs themselves?

unfortunately, I guess that does it for this coin, I did like its setup and promise though till I looked at the  mining situation

Dear Ravencoin developers, if you want to move from x16r and implement HEX algorithm which is only minable with GPUs, we would gladly help you with a smooth implementation.

HEX has strong support from Enemy Miner (Nvidia) and WildRig Multiminer (AMD) and is not just "not yet minable" from FPGAs, but the constant and unpredictable variation in its internal algorithms should decrease the effectiveness of any possible ASIC/FPGA in comparison to GPUs.
Plus... in this bear market I doubt any miner developer would spend much time to develop an FPGA miner for so few people and for only a marginal gain.

More info on HEX can be found in this article: https://steemit.com/crypto/@hitmancro/xdna-have-new-mining-algorithm-hex
And in XDNA's whitepaper, page 19: https://xdna.io/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/XDNA_Whitepaper_ENG.pdf

Even though our projects' goals are different, we'd be glad to collaborate on our common goal to share the wealth evenly between people! Smiley
Feel free to PM me if you want me to put you in contact with our developers, since I'm part of the marketing team.

I agree with this guy. I am also mining Burst since Feb/2018 and as far as I see it, Burst works just fine. Had no problems whatsoever since then. Whatever that Jason Crowe guy did in the past, will stay in the past.

However... Whether if its on Raven or Burst, I actually don't care much about assets. Tbh, I don't understand how they work and how's that useful at all. I did some research about that Jason guy on google and I found out that he was also fucking with "assets" and that's how he fucked burst up which leads me to my final conclusion about the subject:

Assets suck.

I don't know how RVN is going to handle this. I hope it does because I am also investing in it from time to time.

Maybe if you did 10 minutes of research on the shitcoins you invest in you'd have a better underatanding on what their use case is. If you don't understand why real assets on a blockchain are useful, you haven't done enough (or any) research.

ETH creating tokens out of thin air that mean nothing, those have value, but stocks represented on a blockchain? Worthless. /s

I think exactly the same as the previous post. If RVN manages to represent stocks on blockchain (with all the implications) then I clearly see the utility of the coin. I dont understand your post.

Okay, let’s play devil’s advocate. Who gives 2 F’s if there ARE FPGAs? Any hashing power secures the network. So what if it’s an ASIC? BTC has ASICs. Maybe if you’re a miner you care because your rewards are diminished, but as a user? The dark gravity wave difficulty adjustment and the 60 block reorganization lock out means no double spends. When FPGAs are no longer profitable they will be shut down, difficulty will adjust and hobbiest miners will keep the chain alive. Go cry somewhere else.

is just when someone or group of someone (but not too large of a group) manages to gather 100,000,000 coins , one then hopes it has intension to keep building momentum in the technology and not just fast profit turn around, if holdings are distributed more equilaterally chances of utter destruction of a coin diminish significantly

no worries wont be trolling , was just revisiting some POW situation to detect trends etc, I am pretty sure raven intentions as far as vision etc are on solid grounds, but it just so happened juust at the time when I was looking at the pool , that miner emerged with a word "dig" lol so bit of humor , did he dig!

no worries I support our landscape (crypto tech in general) just got me by surprise thats all, I am sure yo guys knew this for some time now, and yes network will secure, but who knows going forward and intention of that person or a small group with large % hold

Yeah don't you get how cutting fees & middlemen out of traditional finance ventures is going to revolutionize the way people in sandals and polo shirts do business?

Well I think there is something that ETH and the like can reaaly do to help people in sandals, and it is permit them to invest in bussinesses (out of their countries) they couldnt invest if there was no ETH.

Wow this is nice approach Raven is becoming more popular and this community growing really fast. I think it is worth for it to invest in this coin because it will become more big in future and this year will bring more success for it.

Raven coin is good picking for 2019. This coin has a great future and potential. Although there is no big news for RVN but the team is woking good behind the scenes and i think it will give good returns this year.
