# Release 1.9 * The client connects to multiple servers in order to retrieve block headers and find the longest chain Thanks for the new release Is it still possible to select one (or more) servers resp. to exclude a server? you can still select the server that is used in order to know your wallet's balance and history. the multi-server part is only for the block headers. if the server you selected is lagging (is not on the longest chain), Electrum will either warn you, or it will switch automatically to another server, if you enabled auto-connect.

Good news, thanks ----- I recently got a new pc and wondered about how to bring my Electrum wallet from my old pc to my new one and I remember looking at your FAQ and thinking, "Jeez, what a hassle," so I ignored all that, downloaded the Electrum 1.8.1 file on the new pc, opened it, entered my seed and ka-ching! my wallet appeared effortlessly. It's a sweet program, thanks for all your hard work, it really is appreciated.

Aha. Was it always like that? I'm sure I remember options being in the menu bar.
Apologies if I just remembered wrongly. (!)
Thanks for fixing the link.

This was indeed the case, you are not slowly turning mad. I think Thomas removed the bar from the Lite GUI to make it more Lite

IMHO, it made more sense to have those options in the menu bar. Mac users are not accustomed to routinely right-clicking things. The menu bar is the standard place to put things like that on the Mac.

Request for the next version: it would be nice if we could save the addresses qr code images as we can do in Multibit (drag and drop).

actually, this is a temporary thing; the plan was to create buttons on the right and bottom borders of the UI, to expand/minimize the views.

How do I update my Ubuntu version I downloaded from the Ubuntu software center? Also how come on your site there is no Ubuntu version? After several delays, version 1.9 is finally out!

I have OSX 10.9. Used 2nd link above. Copied Electrum.app out of dmg to Applications, tried to open, got: “Electrum.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash. Firefox.app downloaded this file today at 14:51. Repeated steps above, same error. Tried to open within dmg as well, said it was damaged too. ETA: OSX lies about it being damaged on first run if you don't have this set:
Change System Preferences: Security & Privacy: General: Allow applications downloaded from: Anywhere.
