Should we support altcoins ?

I am neutral towards this prospective and I Support both Bitcoin and Altcoins. I really love BTC as it make me rich and i don't want it to be end, But the issues like high transaction fees and long confirmation time make me think twice about its future. On the other hand, Altcoins like Litecoin, ETH, Neo etc got really nice feature and strong blockchain so they seems to be more flourishing in future.

Would the world be a better place if we support bitcoin alone, rather than patronizing multiple altcoins? That is a very interesting question to consider, since altcoins are continuously emerging in the digital market. But , there is no certain answer on that question, only forecast and possibilities are there to look forward. Suggestions are there to be analyzed and studied carefully. Competition which is healthy, maintains balance and control.

Forgot the speculative side, because it's not the primary purpose to create a coin. Focus on the basic advantages we get. I am a strong Bitcoin believer but I also think some altcoins are needed. The coins focused on privacy such as Monero, Zencash, Cloackcoin, etc. It helps where Bitcoin is not good at, and believe it or not the anon coins will be a lot of more soon.

For me . I think that we should also support bitcoin because they are not that different. You can convert altcoins to bitcoins and bitcoins to altcoins so we better support them both for the sake of the crypto world.

ETH smart contract thingies
LTC speedy cheap transactions
DASH speedy cheap and also widely used
ZEC, XMR, good privacy coins.

Individuals can support whatever coins they want for as long as we can benefits on the coins that we supported. It may be bitcoins or altcoins because they are all crypto-currencies. Just chose for a potential coins though because there are some that are shitcoins and made by scammers.

Both I guess because both of them are part of the cryptocurrency world and need the support from every people it can get. Also, both of them offers potential to help people earned more and be a smart investor, so if you ask me whether we need to support bitcoin we should also include the alternative coins also.

I dont see why we shouldnt support altcoins. If i look at the big picture, i dont see a serious competition between bitcoin and altcoins. Latecomers can never take the position of Bitcoin and turn into no1, if they dont have any technological breakthrough. Just by being another token they wont have any advantages. Those that do better in some ways (like speed, size, anonymity) are a different cryptocurrency and so they have their own growth. They are no real competitors. Supporting altcoins also helps spreading the news and information about this crypto world, and thus they support bitcoin too.

BTC has a lot of limitations like slow transactions and high fees which is not the case with altcoins.

So, we shouldn't just support BTC but the whole blockchain concept which is the real future.

I think to make the profit we choose both but now I choose altcoin because the bicoin price is now high and unstable and the taxes are big, and we buy altcoin at affordable price and we get the profit we want.

Yes you should invest in altcoins because it can make you lot of money because some coins right now are like 0.001 dollars so that means if it will reach 1 dollar you will gain 1000 times your money. I hope that those small coins become big like ethereum because then a lot of people will become rich.

in my opinion, if we buy bitcoin or altcoin, indirectly we are supporting both of bitcoin and altcoin and we are making a contribution in cryptocurrency because maybe we have one vision about cryptocurrency. maybe we cannot give the biggest supporting for cryptocurrency but with buying and selling the cryptocurrency inside, we are going to make something better especially for our life first and then if we can give another support for the cryptocurrency, then our contribution will become bigger.

Yes i choose only legit not scam so i choose wisely before i buy because many coin that you think is legit at first in the past is a scam after they earn a big abandon the coin and then it suddenly strikes its coin value

Very well sait mate, to the point. Of course there is need to do a lot of analysis to see what can be the result and I believe even those analysis will not be so effective as there is not enough data to interperet. But generally speaking competition is always good for us. So I'm supporting alts.

Alt coins are alternatives of bitcoin. So it means those are under bitcoin. There is nothing wrong woth supporting it or both parties. The coins doesn't look like competiting at all. Supporting alt coins could sometimes look like supporting bitcoins.

I think altcoin does need support from us, we should not just be focused on bitcoin. Some altcoins have good prospects in the future, our step in favor of altcoin is an effort to keep watch if bitcoins are destroyed.

Of course, we are obliged to support altcoins, since many of them perform really useful functions, and some outperform bitcoin dozens of times.
