Holding bitcoin is all the time could give us profit, it is depend on us how we are able to hold it or not and use hold strategy in time, after time when bitcoin fall down then it meant we should hold it and when price go up, it doesn't mean that we sell our coins in loss with panic situation. If we are dealing with bitcoin then we should be ready to take the risk.

This morning I saw an article where a guy made a simple calculation through Google trends about HODL strategy, and it showed that call to HODL used less and less from February of 2018. Popularity of word Bitcoin and crypto currency is also falling down. Why it is so? Do not people believe in Bitcoin and it's bright future anymore? No matter on such tend I am going to HODL my founds till bitcoin will not come back to 20k$  Holding strategy is good if your coins in the market is melting but as of today, the market price is already increasing and its time to sell your coins or wait a little bit longer for the price to increase even more before selling your coins. |

Definitely, dealing with the crypto currencies should be ready to take the risk all the time. Basically, we try to hold it since we aimed to have a great amount of profit but somehow due the urgency of money we have nothing to do but to sell it as we didn't have a great amount of profit. Well, we can't control everything since the value is so volatile, changing suddenly and if you can't afford to see a great of losses you may feel panic and decide to sell your shares. |

Yes, price also depend on the demand they want but the circulation of bitcoin decreases so why would the price of bitcoin go up unless the supply of bitcoin is unlimited. |

its depends on your style.. if youre an investor your strategy really is HODL for long term but if youre a trader ofcourse youll trade when you already have profit and just buy again at dip
Absolutely my friend.This is depend on our strtegy and style on how we have a good planned to expand our profits by joining crypto currency amd on how we HODL it. |

Yes, price also depend on the demand they want but the circulation of bitcoin decreases so why would the price of bitcoin go up unless the supply of bitcoin is unlimited. Holding can't make the circulation decreases, when bitcoin had mined it added in circulation in the market so even we hold it doesn't affect in any way. And the fact that we hold it and have a high demand and only few are wanting to sell then it'll affect the value. I believe holding bitcoin is still essential for us especially if we want the future will be in our hands. |

Using word HODL is not the basis that people do not do that term. HODL is the word that perform by people and not just typing it. For sure there were many people that are hodling their bitcoins or cryptocurrencies until today.

I am believe bitcoin still have future. Bitcoin price start below $1 at 2009 and the price right now around $9000 if you recall bitcoin highest price $19k. Early 2017 bitcoin price below $1000 and right now $9000 and thats proves bitcoin is till worth to hold and holding bitcoin is profitable because price continue growing

Its much better if you hold your btc longer rather sell it immediately because a lot of experts or believers of btc they suggest that holding is more vauble rather than dumping so if you hold your btc you can gain more profit from it. Don't listen to others if they spread negativity.
That's true in the case of bitcoin, you can hold as long as you want and will still be assured that its price will recover. So you should hold your bitcoin until you see a satisfiable profit if you sell, then you can buy again later when a dip occurs or in other words, buy bitcoin at a lower point of entry than you had before. But if you are unsure whether the price will dump again, better to hold on as long as you can if you want to maximize your profits. |

People don't rely on holding their coins to look for more gains, instead they just automatically sell their tokens upon received especially of some bounty hunters. Not totally we blame them cause there's a lot of factors affecting btc downtrend and somewhat to say that there might be a market manipulation by some big whales.
It is normal for some bounty hunters who actually do not care about the future of the coin or token to sell immediately and that is what makes an investor different or those bounty hunters who are not doing it for the quick gains but the long term and they try as much as possible to investigate the coin they are doing anything for even before they join. HODL is effective but not returning the similar profits of trading anyway, since you would have been able to at least use the fluctuation to increase your position with trading where holding requires lots of waiting time period and only with price increase you may achieve what you prefer. |

People got disinterested in holding for the reason that they have experienced a lot of trouble with bitcoin dropping so much in value. Some had loses that they thought bitcoin will never rise in value again. And because of these, many feared holding coins is never profitable.

It's just a matter of strategy, if you believe that indeed the decision withstands long term then any risk has certainly will be borne. and it is also still commonly people use to invest because they believe hold the coin will give promising results.

Yes, this is so true. Honestly, that is my current strategy right now. I holding FIAT currency and make an entry for short trading. I can't imagine for people who still hodl Bitcoin which it was bought at $19K Personally, I am not a patient person and I can't hold crypto assets for a long period. |
