Today has not been a good day for the favourites. First Germany was defeated by Mexico. This was surprising, because Germany, unlike other teams, do not usually take long to hit their stride.
The next big surprise was Brazil being held to a draw by Switzerland. Brazil did lead 1-0 at half time, but it didn't take long for Switzerland to equalize. Brazil just couldn't find an opening after that.

Germany made 9 shots on target tonight. They aren't lucky yet in the previous game but if they able to keep the good performance, the next games would give a better result I think. This is just a bad start for Germany!

Germany can be said that they have deserved the loss, the intensity of the game and the squandering of opportunities is clear. But Mexico have played a heroic game, and in the face of the difference in quality, they certainly deserved the result as a reward for all of this. Hummels was off today he was found off position many times he advances a lot and left lot of space for Mexico and they could easily scored couple more goals and not to mention that Penalty kick that Chicharito did not get. So for this world cup i expect to see more surprises just  like the surprises of the World Cup 2014 .. And the shocks of the Euro 2016 .. What, really? If I had paid attention to that stats I might not have bet on such a high scoring Germany game. I thought Germany -1.5 to win was a pretty safe bet, and I thought Brazil -2 was also safe. When the Coutinho goal went it, I thought it was all going so well. I think we have to salute the Swiss players, they had far fewer shots, and the man of the match for me was the keeper. Esp near the end.

Belgium vs Panama

I don't think Belgium will encounter significant obstacles in this match. My predictions Belgium will win with a fairly convincing score, 2-0 or 3-0. Belgium has more experience while for Panama this is a debut for them.

I don't know why but I'm not getting any excitement from the games as before in World Cup. Everything seems to make me a bit down now. The theme song. The teams. The players. Even the world cup babes aren't getting me excited

Maybe it's just the group stage beginning. Maybe I'm getting older.

Maybe I just need to bet big on a group stage game.

It is not that their defense is weak. Brazil thought that Switzerland would be too weak for them and concentrated all their efforts on attack. They never bothered to strengthen their defenses, and this allowed the Swiss to equalize.

Brazilian team should keep on attacking. They stooped to do so after they score the goal. Big mistake. Miranda had to fall as he felt that light push from Switzerland player. Referee would most certainly give him a foul and there wouldn`t be any equalizer for the Swiss.
Neimar has been beaten as no other player on this championship so far, but all those starts on Brazilian were legit, yellow card starts. Tactical approach was to kick Neimars ass and not let him `dance`as he knows and they did it. Bottom line, very good performance form Switzerland team. Next game against Serbia and Switzerland is the most important for this two teams. Serbia need to win that one, draw would be pretty good result for Swiss.

All the top team was having pressure from this world cup and they are really under perform. On one side if you are not betting at all then this world cup is a world cup that is going to be the best world cup that you have ever seen. The story of underdog holding and beating the top country team? that kind of matches rarely happen in any of the past world cup

This world cup is really nightmare for those top teams, they just seems to not be able to win the game easily although they are the favourite for the match. This game might end in a draw just like few brazil, too bad indeed for England to suffer the same fate

What the heck just happened, i was seeing the match between Germany and Mexico, Mexico did score and won the match but for Germany it was just bad luck. How many times they shot on the target and still missed. Uhh i can't believe it though they didn't even draw but straight lost the match
Nothing to talk about the remaining matches as Brazil didn't do much and that looked like a clear draw
