You can prevent any loses. By doing deep research, by educating yourself and by investing into real companies. I recommend you to invest bigger part of your money allocation into stocks and only 20% into cryptocurrencies. And if you are in loss, you should decide if your investment still worth it. And you can sell it and buy another .
Maybe this month is the best for Bitcoin investment, because in August ETF will be probably approved by SEC and this will bring Bitcoin to the moon.

I really hope you're right about August and as far as the loss management I agree on the part that you invest only 20-30% of your money. It's the best way to be secure and manage your loss before you even get in the position to chose whether to cut your loses and sell or hodl and hope.

To manage the losses in this kind of field you must learn by now by reading and researching things or learn from your mistake that you do in your past investments to prevent from losing it. What I was learn is in the two was learn from my mistakes that I've done to my past investments that I lose because of not knowing this type of currency that I invested that's why I keep myself careful now and also reading some articles.

I agree with both of you, it's best to look and compare only the prices that were at the time when you bought/sold and the current prices. Looking at the all time highs and lows is pointless.

Thats what i usually do , just hold and fill up the bag when i can . Sometimes if i see opportunity then i trade some tokens to other ones and after some little fomo trade my favorite ones back  The funny part is that i dont hold BTC or ETH lol

That is true but sometimes we could just invest in some coins too big amount of money and we could lose it, then we couldn't get the emotions to control our moves cause this is the biggest mistake that we could done.
