This is a summary of the story

Feb 11 (Reuters) - Cryptocurrency exchange platform BestChange has said it is unsure why its website was blocked by Russia's communications watchdog Roskomnadzor, but that it is in touch with the central bank to try to lift the ban.

To regain access, BestChange agreed to remove certain features that could potentially violate Russian laws. The Bank of Russia specifically requested the removal of information related to ruble-based foreign currency exchanges. The platform also restricted listings for foreign payment systems and certain international currencies, like the Kazakhstani tenge.

My apologies, but my information about Bestchange being blocked was out of date. The Bank of Russia unblocked the service on August 7th. Here's a link to an article about it.

It was previously blocked in April. Here's also a link to an article on that.

SimpleSwap froze $4K of my money under the pretext of 'AML' and I provided AML results using BestChange, which were clean. It's been more than 2 weeks now that my money is frozen and they still haven't returned my money despite providing what SimpleSwap asked & completing their KYC. Maybe they decided to concentrate on only Russian exchangers and the Russian board.
I think they should do more to protect the client during the mediation process. There is no point of making the review neutral even before the client has received their funds. I thought the whole purpose of that review section was to also keep the exchanger in check and make sure they resolved the issue as soon as possible

Look that the exchanger admin said

Unfortunately, the deadline is infinite, and it seems that exchangers use it and simply wait for the victim to get tired and give up on the request for a refund. We rarely get complete information on which freezing funds and requests for additional KYC are triggered. We are rarely informed where the funds ended up. If they take away "illegal" funds, it's expected to forward them to the authorities, right?
Unfortunately, Bestchange completely merged with this policy and completely sided with exchangers, without much help to users.

It seems rather strange for an exchanger that has been operating for over fifteen years and cared about its reputation to simply abandon the english-language aspect of its project, leaving customers without adequate feedback. This undoubtedly undermines trust in this service, and users will increasingly question whether they should use BestChange with such a level of support.

I would like to hear a proper explanation from them, if possible. Honestly, I don't want to believe that their service level has dropped so low or that it's due to fraud (or something similar). Perhaps it's due to the influence of the regulator?

I hope the project management is aware of all this.

Abandoning the more "rich"english-language market segment for the sake of a local one? That seems foolish.

That didn't stop them from answering user questions in this thread before, did it? Because their support handled both directions (RU and EU).

Looks like Bestchange decided to make a redesign of their website, which is still probably in the testing phase on one of their domains (https://bestchange.biz). They probably plan to roll it out on to the other domains once the testing and enough feedback is received



The shade of green our eyes have been used to is now gone from the homepage. I also don't see many changes with their feedback system, except that you can now see both English and Russian complaints on the same domain.

Let's hope the review system has improved.
I saw this, and I was expecting an announcement by the BC team. For some reason, they completely abandoned this thread. The UI has been completely changed, and that is commendable, although it was expected much earlier.

However, as far as I have noticed, there is no significant improvement of the feedback system, and everything is still the same and completely controlled by BC and its partners.

In addition, it appears their calculator has been upgraded with advanced filters to save time by narrowing search results: Redesign and new features of BestChange: a step forward in convenience and functionality

UI has changed drastically. I thought the directexchange was happening within the site, but it still redirects you with a referral link.
I think direct exchange means exchange one asset directly to another, like BTC to USDT
While multistage exchange while from let say BTC to XRP and then to USDT. Apparently, a user can even earn some "profit" from this.

I saw this, and I was expecting an announcement by the BC team. For some reason, they completely abandoned this thread.
I think they made updates specifically in the Russian board.

I’ve observed a negative trend with some exchange services listed on Bestchange: they now require users to provide their Telegram account details. Given that you already submit other personal information during the exchange process, this effectively deanonymizes your messenger account as well.
In whose interest is this information being collected? There’s no option to refuse — if you do, they simply decline the exchange.
Is Bestchange aware of this practice?

It should stay negative until it's resolved.
It is part of the broken review system on Bestchange.
If the exchanger writes any response, even if it doesn't bring anything new or solve the problem, the complaint is closed as solved and gets a neutral tag. It can be noticed that only a few exchangers have negative feedback from users, which is quite unrealistic because we have seen dozens of accusations here on the forum against BC partners.

Our site doesn’t use the concept of a 'negative review.' Comments highlighted in red aren't treated as feedback — they're financial claims, which is why they're marked as 'resolved' once the financial issue is settled. The text itself remains publicly visible (unless the user chooses to delete it).

i feel like bestchange is forgetting who their real users are.
they currently seems to care more about their partners and keeping them happy than actually protecting the users who got them to where they are now.
they seriously need to fix the review system as it's clearly favors their partners.

There are many others exchanges on the market that are more reliable and better overall and NO-KYC

For example which ones? What services are you even talking about? Some anonymous Telegram bots or something like that? The vast majority of major services comply with international anti-money laundering standards, so they require KYC. Any self-respecting crypto exchange, most large exchangers, even P2P platforms—you'll only get access after completing identity verification, often much stricter than what exchangers ask for.
