Hello everyone, keep more than 1k CLO. In connection with the latest events: an attempt to set off a course and drop a project, making illogical attacks on the Callisto network and stuffing provocative articles about the team on the Internet, I realized that I was not mistaken in the project. The community almost did not respond to the manipulation and confirmed my opinion that it is one of the strongest that I have seen in a crypt for 2 years. Good luck to all! Smiley

Awesome to know the community behind callisto knows that this coin has a bright future unlike many if not the majority of coins and tokens out there. Real utility will always overcome any type of harm speculation.

The Callisto Network withstood all the negative rumors about her and the community supported her and proved that the coin will have a very good future

I'm already confused, did you change the algorithm?
or your coin is mined by ASIC/FPGA?

Interesting concept, but I do not believe in a Proof of work algorithm anymore. PoS will be the king in crypto.

INFO

Successful Hard Fork on Callisto Network.

An amazing and epic milestone that Callisto has achieved. In less than 48 hours a Hard Fork was performed by Callisto team to prevent 51% attacks in the future.
Special thanks to Pirl team who helped us during this fork.

Pirl Guard has been activated.

Special thanks to Epool for testing the fork.
Special thanks to MaxHash pool for their help and support.

Thanks to all pool operators, wallets and exchanges for supporting the fork and updating the client in less than 24 hours from the release. Without your hard work and attention, this couldn't be possible.

Thanks to this amazing community supporting us every day through thick and thin.

Algo is still the same, you can mine CLO with your GPU as you are used to  Smiley

As big_daddy said the listing is delayed because of the Hard Fork but I think you can expect it for the forthcoming days  Wink

INFO

51% Attack to Callisto.Network - February/2019

On Saturday the 23rd, a series of attacks began, starting with a failed attempt that destabilized the network, causing that some of the nodes from mining pools became outdated/desynced from the main chain. The following days Callisto Network got more elaborate attacks trying to apply the "double spending exploit" on exchanges like Stex and HitBTC, mostly unsuccessfully.

On Monday the 24th we kept in contact with exchanges and pools to reduce the losses that future attacks might generate. The initial measure was to temporarily close HitBTC wallet and increase the number of confirmations required by Stex.

On Tuesday the 26th a new attack occurred. We took the decision to move forward in the implementation of PirlGuard to counteract the 51% attacks. Initially, the announcement stipulated a hard fork with PirlGuard in the block 2,160,000 to give us some time to work on it and test it. That same day at the UTC-5 time slot, the solution was already coded by our team and it was ready to be deployed with the implementation of Pirl Guard source code against 51% attacks and with the last stable version of Geth. After the implementation, Yohan Graterol, CEO of Callisto got in touch with EPool manager who agreed to perform simulated attacks in a private network in order to test the code. During the whole process of implementation and testing, we were in constant communication with Pirl's Founder.

The founder of EPool ran differents 51% attacks tests on the latest go-Callisto version and this was the last result: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/550198213152473088/550273619482116126/Screenshot_2019-02-27_05-09-50.png

Following these tests, it was requested a code revision by Callisto from Pirl team to ensure that everything was implemented correctly.

On Wednesday the 27th before 19:00 UTC, the binaries were released for all platforms: https://github.com/EthereumCommonwealth/go-callisto/releases/tag/1.0.6, in this release the hard fork was moved from block 2,160,000 to block 2,135,000. Plenty of help, hard work and coordination made this possible.

Today, the 28th at 15:58:40 UTC, block 2135000 (https://explorer2.callisto.network/block/2135000) was mined, successfully activating the 51% attack protection.

Throughout the process, the exchanges and most of the mining pools provided help and understanding that allowed a hard fork process like this to take place in less than 48 hours.

Special thanks to Stex, HitBTC, Epool, MaxhashPool, CLOPool, Callisto community and to all the Callisto staff.
Thanks to Trust, Coinomi and Guarda wallet for the support.

Stex will reopen the wallets tomorrow followed up by HitBTC, this way deposit and withdraws will be resumed.
The 28th was going to be a great day for Callisto. And it was. But not in the way or with the outcome we all expected.
We all were expecting a listing. But we got a hard fork that protects the network from malicious people trying to do some damage. In long term, this is more important than any listing.

The new listing will be delayed since the exchange needs to run some test again with the new fork before launching CLO coin, especially if it was getting 51% attacks during the last week. This delay won't be eternal. We hope to deliver you a final listing date within next week.

There are so many type of jewelry out there. Gemstone jewelry is one. They are beautiful, colorful and yet they are cheap. Buying peridot jewelry (http://www.foreli.com/-Peridot-Rings_c_12.html) or emerald jewelry (http://www.foreli.com/-Emerald-Rings_c_23.html)

Thank you ... I thought I could do it through MetaMask but at this point it appears that doesnt work ( as the tokens still havent shown up ) ... unless there is a different contract address.  So trying Guarda wallet now.

Yeah because Metamak doesn't support CLO, CLO is not a token it has its own chain.

One question poped up in my mind today when I saw announcement of STRATIS on their cold staking.
Does the cold staking originated and innovated by Callisto Network project?
Thank you for any answer to come relates to cold staking and its origin.

One question poped up in my mind today when I saw announcement of STRATIS on their cold staking.
Does the cold staking originated and innovated by Callisto Network project?
Thank you for any answer to come relates to cold staking and its origin.

The solution provided by Stratis is totally different since Stratis is a POS coin and CLO a POW coin.
With CLO cold stakers doesn't secure the Network, they just get rewards for holding their coins.

Moreover, with CLO cold staking, every cold stakers have almost the same reward, with Stratis the more coins you hold, the more chance you have to find a new block and get a reward.

In order to use the cold staking solution from Stratis you have to create a cold staking setup (maybe that need some knowledge??) while with Callisto you can cold stake from wallets such as Coinomi, Guarda or Trust, it' s all done to make it as simple as possible.

The overall idea behind cold staking term is "You don't need to run your wallet online for staking" each coin adapting this term to its technology and needs.
