Suggestion for addition to the BitLotto compatibility list:

Blockchain app
 - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=piuk.blockchain (Blockchain for Android)
 - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/blockchain/id493253309 (Blockchain for iOS)

Both of these use the same wallet as the web-based hybrid wallet on Blockchain.info:

Will do thanks.

*NOT A FEATURE YET! NEED TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY UNFORESEEN ISSUES FIRST*

We are thinking of adding a new feature to BitLotto where you can pick any address for the winnings! It could even be an offline address or address based off of a memorized key. That way if you win, you can be sure you won't lose your winnings! And it will all be recorded in the blockchain and requires no intervention by BitLotto to conduct the transaction.

To work you would have to use either Bitcoin, or Blockchain.info, or any software that allows you to pay multiple addresses in one single transaction.

For example say you want your winning to go to this address:
1JQdiQsjhV2uJ4Y8HFtdqteJsZhv835a8J

You would make TWO payments in one transaction: (using the "Add recipient" feature before sending it)
1. 0.25 or whatever to the BitLotto address
2. a payment of "0.00054321" to 1JQdiQsjhV2uJ4Y8HFtdqteJsZhv835a8J
And send it.

If you win we would recognize that that 1JQdiQsjhV2uJ4Y8HFtdqteJsZhv835a8J is the address you want payment to go to.

WORSE case (and would be rare), somehow that type of transaction occurs naturally as change. In such case, that would be one of their own addresses anyways and they'll still get the BTC.

What do those who really understand Bitcoin's inner workings think? (one of the most interesting things is that it would open the doors to shared wallets as long as they used this method...)

I like the concept but don't know enough about the inner workings of Bitcoin to comment on that side, if you only treated second address as the preferred one's when they had exactly 0.00054321 then it would be exceptional odds to get that as a random change tx so shouldn't be a problem for a few billion years, also not only could one have any winnings sent to an offline cold storage wallet but peeps could also make gift or charity bets that can be seen to have been made & show the recipients address for receipt of any winnings, nice present  Smiley

? ANY none 0.25000000 payment?

Was that supposed to be "non-0.2500000 payment" ?   Or "any payment amount other than 0.25000000"  perhaps?

Also, affliates are still around, there just aren't any in effect right now?

Ooops fixed.
Someone could still be an affiliate. I just haven't had anyone interested yet. I'll add it again to the site...probably.

Thanks.

32 BTC so far...but that 100 BTC payment from Otoh should be coming soon...
Were pretty much growing at the same rate as last month.

Remember, one of the nice things about a raffle style lottery, is that no matter how big or small the jackpot, it's always a fair deal, because your odds of winning scale perfectly for the jackpot size.

Look's like someone (probably Otoh Wink ) bought 404 tickets!

About 150 BTC is up for grabs now!!!

Looks like there has been some activity in the pools too! Looks like someone sent 1 BTC to the pool that takes only 0.25 at a time. Ooops. The hash to make all tickets for that pool will be: 3b11a5be6db66fa610778ebabfcb489b615866b23933eca1176a75f839a650d2 (IF the bad payment was indeed the first hash to be sorted in Block 179967, it would have been ignored. I'll make sure to add a note in case it ever happens in the future)

yep, as promised that was me, already plenty enough for a BFL Single or for that matter a plane ticket to just about anywhere in the world  Tongue

& oppps, that was also me who sent the 1 BTC to try out the pools for a friend - I then sent the correct amount for her in 4 quarters, I think that the pools are a great invention because they effectively offer the equivalent of what second or third place prizes would, a lower prize but with more chance of winning one but also don't adversely effect the Jackpot for a single winner either, win/win

I was wondering if that was you! LOL. You always seem to test what happens when people make weird payments! Wink

I have been thinking that perhaps I should change it to any multiple of 0.25 just like the main draw address. If they make a larger payment they should know they will likely show up in one group of 10. So a payment of 1 BTC means they will be grouped with the other 1.5 BTC.

Or does the rules as is make it a little more simple? (If someone wants to make multiple payments it wouldn't take long since it's less than 10)

personally I'm for always allowing larger payments & then you just chop them up in to 0.25 tickets in house & allocate them to the pool until it fills then to the next one etc, seems simplest to me but I may have missed something about why using only 0.25 ticket tx are easier, I'd go for consistency across the site unless there's some clear advantage to do it this way
