Bitcoin is still the king of all cryptocurrency and has the over all controll in the market, altcoins is our second option if bitcoin drops, its our backup. if your will notice a lot of altcoins when it success on their ico sale will just dump fast or it will pump and then drops, few altcoins have a positive trends, and also when bitcoin drops altcoins drops also, that is why bitcoin is the backbone of blockchain

it's still the bitcoin that can control the price of cryptocurrency
with the largest amount of marketcap, I am very sure, bitcoin prices will always affect all altcoin
but I prefer trading on altcoin

Same with me,  i believe that bitcoin can control the market price,  as we all know,  most of the time when the btc are down the altcoins follows.  But still i love to trade with btc and with alts for i know that there are more chances of earning big with crypto.

I do not think so, bitcoin prices look lower because bitcoin has bounced and dropped dramatically while altcoin is still growing.
If you say that the value of altcoin exceeds the bitcoin value, I think not. Bitcoin still dominates the market, because bitcoin is its parent. And most traders only accept Bitcoin and

The market is controlled by the whales. And as a rule it is controlled through Bitcoin. Today almost all trading pairs has bitcoin as a basis for trading. That's why it is naturally that bitcoin (whales - owners of big amount of it) can effect to the market as they want. But I am absolutely sure, that in the future Bitcoin will be replaced by another altcoin.

I'm sorry to disagree but How can you say that the crypto market is less affected by Bitcoin that in fact and i have observed many times that if Bitcoin start to crash the Altcoins will follow and when the Bitcoin start to rise again then the altcoins too which mean that every movement of Bitcoin it will always create a domino epic to most of the Altcoins. Market performance will always depend on Bitcoin that even do how many altcoins you will keep but in the end it will be traded to Bitcoin to earn more fiat.

IF we're looking from the view of Marketcap, Bitcoin will likely stay on top for years to come. Just like Gold was the standard for fiat money, Bitcoin will remain in crypto.

From the point of actual usability, other coins "may" overtake bitcoin...depends on what you guys want to use the coins for.
