We *absolutely* have to have speakers and stands at this event. Preferrably with business cards, brochures and NXT clothing. I think a stand cost like 2000 euros to have ? I am willing to help, as i am in the neighborhood!! Any other persons interested? That's far enough in the future for me to arrange days off work. I can be there. I'm up for it. I could arrange for promo material (Cards, brochures, T-shirts etc) to be printed up locally. Let's move this over to the nextcoin thread to get the details worked out. https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,2277.0.html

Can anyone offer some suggestions on getting NXT to work on a Mac? I installed Java and downloaded the NXT client, and when I run the command:
java -jar start.jar
I get an error that starts like this:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/eclipse/jetty/start/Main : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0

Update Java to v1.7. You may have downloaded it but that error means your Mac is still using the old version. Also: read the wiki! http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/

Hey,
what do you mean exactly with review and articels? Do i get the NXT when i promote NXT on Big german forums too? Where are over 100k Users?
Second Question. When i can make it that the biggest german News Site (100 million too 1 billion clicks in a month) write about NXT (bild.de), how much NXT do i get?
The idea of promoting Nxt via Bild is ridiculous. Our audience is not the yellow press readers. this is just dumb. About 13 million people read the Bild in germany everyday, when only 1000 people jump on the nxt train, it would be a success. What is so wrong at it too post an article at big news sites? first of all you don't seem to know how the press works. how would you want to make them publish your article? second there are other media with much less readers, who are much more likely to get hooked and therefore this media would publish something on Nxt more likely. your take on mediacampaigns is quite naiv. I would hate to see an article about Nxt next to a nude girl in the yellow press. this is disgusting. notsureifserious +1 kunibopl ifightformerkel, just let this go please. It's a stupid idea (to put it bluntly).

I would much prefer a grassroots kind of marketing. If Nxt gets tied to a "movement" it will *certainly* backfire. Let them find out from the fact that individuals are adopting it en masse. This! +1e10 I can somehow see why right libertarians are ready to hump anything crypto, but we shouldn't help them along actively.

To me, it doesn't matter who humps what (may want to rephrase that...), but any kind of "official" connection will most probably backfire. I have my political ideas too, but I want to keep them out of business.

Generally the publicity caused by a mention of Bild.de would drive the price up into insane hights. Always remember, there is no bad pubilicity. Not with the amount of users the whole crypto market has right now. Just look at the numbers: 13 million readers, about 3 million crypto users.
A couple of years back they made an article about one of the early pornsites. Youporn I think. Not sure but anyway. Guess how the tone was. How disgusting they described it. Now guess what happened to the number of users....
The thing right now is that you have to overcome significant hurdles to get NXT. In Germany you have to get BTC first and then convert it into NXT. Besides that there is still the issue with the lack of a client. My wife just mentioned it. The major amount of Bild readers won't even be able to understand how to get the client working. They won't even know what java is.
So, to conclude this: A mention in Bild is a powerful publicity. The most powerful cryptos in general might have had up until now, because Bild has such a large readerbase and it is close to smaller people, those who like to hate about banks and "the guys up there". It is just not the time to have it mentioned there. The infrastructure is not in place and as long as it isn't, a mention would really do more harm than good. The moment it becomes easy to get into NXT, the moment we have a big shining gate, something as easy as buying some DickWat for a zynga game or a new ringtone, will be the moment to have us mentioned there. Do it and the real revolution starts. Just don't do it at the wrong moment.
And now is the wrong moment

Omg, someone cleared 3 of my accounts.... I used 256bit keys generated by Keepass 2. I am using NRS 0.5.8 that installed today and downloaded from nxtcrypto.org. I am using Windows 7 Professional and am running Avira and Microsoft Security Essentials. The NXT was transferred about half an hour ago, also while i was forging. My PC was running unlocked but i can be 99.99% sure that no one had access to it physically. So I don't really know how this happend?!? It can't be bruteforce right? My accounts: 8423671173148912884 107,217 12345678612257264594 71 13486646175575465553 998 The NXT are now in this account: 696356957947686421 Balance Total : 108,286 NXT Fuck me... Btw the password of the third account was for example: af5c73ca7cf5f25ffa3b6b1689f40aaf60fd040b0de298c1ca661f8602d38311 Any chance of seeing these NXT again?

Well the second and third accounts had no outgoing transactions, if you haven't sent any NXT out all it takes is a collision to access the account which means they don't need the actual passphrase. What about the first, was it you that sent 1 NXT out on 09.01.2014 ? Actually, just noticed you forged a block on that account so it would have been protected with a 256-bit key then.

The fact 3 of your account were compromised is important. It make it obvious your PC was infected. If NXT account were bruteforced, you wouldn't have lost 3 of your account at the same time. Please check the sha256 of your NRS version
