1000 page!

"NXT will be the fastest growing decentralized system of 2014."
- XGC

You can quote me on that!

Here are some quotes from one of my favorite authors, Isaac Asimov.

  • There is a single light of science, and to brighten it anywhere is to brighten it everywhere.
  • Part of the inhumanity of the computer is that, once it is competently programmed and working smoothly, it is completely honest.
  • The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.
  • I do not fear computers. I fear the lack of them.
  • Scientific truth is beyond loyalty and disloyalty.

See you all on page 10,000

NXT VPS Server Donations can be sent here: 6044921191674841550
At the end of each month I will donate some of them back to the community.
This is separate from my main wallet so you can keep track of them. I will keep them in there and only use them for hosting.

Did anyone see other threads with 1000 pages on the forum?

Some threads with over 800 pages, but I haven't seen 1000 pages.

Could not find in FAQ/wiki, how fast are NXT transactions? I've purchased some coins from dgex, but seems they are doing it manually, so I've tried to use faucet http://nxtra.org/faucet/

But account shows 0 balance, and the blockchain says:

So, what's happening? Are NXT transactions slower then even bitcoin ones?  Shocked

The faucet is also not automatic: wesley uses a cron job on his server to process all of the transactions that are queued.  He's posted the source code for his faucet, but I don't know how often his cron job runs.

I checked the faucet account, and your transaction has not actually been SENT yet.

Once it has been sent, you'll get it in under a minute (as soon as the next block is generated).  At current transaction volumes, there's no reason for a delay.

Thanks! Now I am calm))) I was scared that I was "lucky" to purchase some coins, moving with the speed of swift bank transfer)))

I remember coming here somewhere around page 200 and one of the main reasons I got into Nxt was that the thread was growing amazingly fast. I decided that the coin should be unbeatable with such community.

I had a hard time processing that because colorless green ideas sleep furiously I didn't know what a Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard was.

But then I understood you.

Got USD to buy NXT. Where do I go from here?

I  might be willing to do Paypal. How much were you looking for?

Thank you for the offer. Is the only way to acquire NXT with USD to acquire Bitcoin first? This boggles my mind as it really would be distinguishing for a post Bitcoin currency to have direct exchange with,  at least, USD. Alt coins have this problem but they can, for the most part, be mined which means direct access to them. Not that this helps all these worthless coins in the long run but it still is an advantage over NXT. Please tell me I am wrong and Bitcoins aren't our only gateway to NXT ownership.

plus I am sure you will see fiat->nxt exchanges at some point.
