We should have a line up of 3-4 great assets/ companies ready for the asset exchange upon official launch. Are you ready to be the first IPO in Nxt network and the first company listed in Nxt asset exchange ?
Alias-squatters could use Asset Exchange to raise funds for their future business that will bring billions in 5 years. In this case everything will be completely transparent. It would take time. People is not going to spend money on some promises alone. You have to have something to show first. Perhaph, we should ask nexern to incorporate his Blockchain explorer and make it the first asset of Nxt network. He could be a millionaire upon the IPO then he can totally focus on finishing Nxt client. +1000 great idea.

I advised a guy to code a series of gambling sites accepted Nxt, then bundle them together, make a company and list in Nxt asset exchange. He seems not understand what I am saying. Guys being the first IPO in Nxt network and the first company listed in Nxt asset exchange would be a huge publicity.
He doesn't need sites. Everything can be hosted on the blockchain. (This is not implemented yet though)

To be on the safe side, I wouldn't advise enxern to quit his day job - but if he can take a non paid vacation, I guess it will be very easy to raise the funds to pay him generously...
Count me in! This is a great idea.

This would give good practice

The share that represents the gambling could be listed and traded in the asset exchange though. We also need an secure forum to host social contracts for the newly issued shares and assets.

Hey Ferment, are those your 34,785nxt hallmarked nodes? do you have any insight on weight vs RAM?
Also, what are we even looking for in testing these nodes? Ha!
I assume, ability to stay up to date while connecting to many peers. What about timing out these dead peers? Wouldn't that benefit in fighting the zombies?
I have no insights at the moment. Right now, I'm getting all nodes deployed and the code to manage them. Phase two is gathering the metrics and checks in place to understand what's really going on.

Well, he has to wait when Service Providers implemented. This doesn't make much sense to use centralized website.

If shatoshi dice can operate as a centralized website then a Nxt dice can. The only difference is that satoshi dice is regulated by some government meanwhile nxt dice needs not be.

Count me in! I am pretty sure I am going to quit my job at least temporarily to devote my full time time to Nxt if the official launch goes smoothly.

Official launch of Nxt will be unnoticed. Most of bitcoiners will be celebrating 5th Birthday of Bitcoin.

Most of bitcoiners will be celebrating 5th Birthday of Bitcoin. that's always the best way to begin....but i'm sure someone is definitely watching...so they target the Exchange, Forum & Network The weakest link: 1) Forum 2) Exchange 3) Network There is a proper & meticulous campaign against Nxt (I know i;m stating the obvious)

come-from-beyond: is it normal that sending money via api takes 20-30 seconds? What is the timeout I should use on this? (to send the request and receive a response)
If u set "pushThreshold" above zero it will be faster, but less nodes will see ur transaction. U can set it to 100000 to send transactions (and blocks) only to nodes hallmarked with big accounts. Edit: U should use deadline >= 24h, just rebroadcast transactions lost in limbo (broadcastTransaction API call). When I last looked (probably v0.4.0), it appeared that the code sent to a set of nodes sequentially, which could presumably be very fast or very slow (depending on the connect/read timeouts configured, and the state of the other nodes at the time). Is there any reason why this can't be done as parallel tasks?
