If asset exchange API is ready, test servers should be put up now so that others can develop clients too. I see no sense in waiting.
Jean-Luc has not reviewed Asset Exchange code yet, AFAIK. Too much work with refactoring, I think. Is the asset related code I have in 0.5.1 ready to be reviewed? Last time I remember you said you are still fixing it, so I haven't touched it. |

huh? Java will be gone soon? Could be wrong? Wasn't there talk of going to C? And a new client? Can someone confirm or deny this? Java will not be gone, that's for sure. There will be a new native client, that nexern is working on. And others can also create different clients, including a replacement for the current javascript client. The server will remain in java. Of course, once the full source is released in April nothing prevents someone from rewriting it in another language. |

Jean-Luc has not reviewed Asset Exchange code yet, AFAIK. Too much work with refactoring, I think. Is the asset related code I have in 0.5.1 ready to be reviewed? Last time I remember you said you are still fixing it, so I haven't touched it. U could start reviewing it. Fixes r related to situations like sending 2 transactions that cancel the same order. They shouldn't lead to major changes in the code. Maybe we shouldn't fix this at all and let client software to handle all the stuff? |

Another representation of the current nxt distribution:  Notes: - Size of rectangle is proportional to amount of nxt - Colours: i) accounts shown in green have a public key ii) accounts shown in red don't have a public key iii) accounts shown in blue represent my personal stash - 1 Account != 1 Person. For instance, dgex has at least two large accounts; there are community accounts, donation accounts, etc; plus some people have multiple accounts - There may of course be mistakes in my script, so the diagram may be completely wrong Awesome! 5) Are there api's already for asset exchange? If so, would it not be easy to make a simple HTML client? (I would be willing to make this ad interim if nexern's client is still months away)
API is ready. To make an HTML client we need JS library for signing/verification (look at that bounty). Problem is no known javascript library exists that implements curve5xx verification. Only signing. To make that from scratch is out of my league ;-) Curve25519 is not enough. We need JS-implementation of EC-KCDSA based on Curve25519... Just a naive question as I don't have a lot experience with JS: Why can't the existing java code be ported to JS easily. |
