I made a thread in nextcoin.org to post the most important and valuable info from this thread as many ppl can't follow everything here.
Please use an uncensored forum: forums.nxtcrypto.org
I wasn't sure if such a thread would be useful so i asked Graviton what he thinks and he said it will be useful. I think Graviton saw ppl's reaction and will answer their expetations from now on.
@utopianfuture has already made progress-tracking threads so i will add important info from those threads as well. I hope this thread becomes something like a place for quick updates
https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,2775.0.htmlI may create the same in forums.nxtcrypto.org if it works well.
A lot of people only go to nxtcrypto.org
A public forum should not have to worry about not offending the forum owner's other business interests. It has been made clear that any posts that mention dgex in a negative light will be suspended, removed, etc, even if the "negative light" is factual. It has all been justified as anything that is in business interest of graviton is fair game. It is his exchange, is forum, so fine, he can make his own rules. However, knowing this we need to have a place that we can trust won't censor things.
For example, if your posts includes info about new exchanges, there is a strong likelyhood that the entire thread will be suspended as happened with the peercover thread on nextcoin.org
Graviton, I am not attacking you. I am only repeating what you have stated. Running a forum that has the constraint of not saying anything negative about dgex, does not make it an unbiased forum that can be freely used. Please consider making nextcoin.org truly independent. I doubt you are making much money from it. Information needs to flow freely. You have helped the NXT community and the NXT community has helped you. As one of the largest NXT holders, you should be thinking LONG TERM about the value of NXT.
You have lost 800K of NXT, probably recovered a couple hundred thousand from the fees. However, 95% of trading volume is gone. Even with Asset Exchange on the horizon, we still need ways to trade NXT, especially for people without NXT. Wouldn't it make more sense to truly become part of the NXT community, instead of your current arms-length position?
Remove all censorship from nextcoin.org
Change withdrawal fee to 1 NXT and .0001 BTC on dgex and make money with a per trade commission AND forging revenues on 70 million NXT.
Don't make it look like you put the withdrawal fees so you can trap the NXT and collect the large transaction fees from the Asset Exchange launch. Don't you already have enough NXT? Why do you need to keep grabbing for more? How many bounties have you given out? Not attacking, just trying to get you to understand where the community's feelings are coming from.
These are my recommendations.

Why doesn't everyone post on
https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/ ? why are all the main people in nxt posting here?
the only reason i came over here while looking for more info on nxt was was because all the updates n developments are here.
I believe all the nxt developers migrate over to
https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/ so new people like myself can follow along.
btc talk is way to big now n it was hell trying to find this thread.
nxt is decentralized n that's good but we need a centralized place where all nxters can congregrate as a community without any ties to dgex or any future exchange.
We can't run around n claim that nxt is new generation crypto when we are still living under big daddy btc's house.
This is like a teenager claiming they are an adult but still lives with their parents.
Now that the source code is out... I propose nxt establishes a new residency at
https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/ or everyone vote for a new home n everyone make the move.
Thoughts?
Cuz I'm tired of keeping up with nextcoin.org, nxtcrypto.org, bitcointalk.org, etc.
Remember, i've said this all along about all cryptos... the key to success with mass public adoption is "user friendliness"!
We have to make it to so that it is a "no brainer" for new people to find, learn, adopt, n use nxt.
From a marketing perspective... user friendliness is way more important then fancy features (in he beginning).
Lets establish one location where people can learn and collaborate on nxt.
I don't have much of a brain like some of u guys so if something is easy for me... u can rest assure that it is a good litmus test that it will be easy for the rest of the public.
