I have a good nose for these things and have done well in sales/marketing because I got good at figuring out how to eliminate friction n confusion in sales n marketing...

I have a nose for these things too - and I agree that Nxt should be used rather than Nextcoin - there are more than 100 xxxCoins around but there is only 1 Nxt.

Nxt is the "next generation" and the "next big thing", etc. I think easy to sell - rather than just another *Coin.

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

I took a look at ur blog and in the very beginning I saw

Quote
What Is The Difference Between Bitcoin’s “Proof Of Work” Vs. Peercoin & Nextcoin’s “Proof Of Stake”?

Could u replace "Nextcoin" with "Nxt"?

I will include the (NXT) Ssymbol in the title it but I'm telling you guys... I work in sales/marketing full time and I tell people all the time that "nothing kills a sale faster then confusion".  With nxt, nothing kills adoption faster then confusion...

I have a good nose for these things and have done well in sales/marketing because I got good at figuring out how to eliminate friction n confusion in sales n marketing...

It is written NXT. Can be called next (NXT) decentralized network/ system. Nextcoin is the payment application of the NXT network. We should clear confusion starting from now on. Everyone should make an attempt at correction whenever possible.

For those who haven't already seen this (eMunie IPO cancelled): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412118.0

Is it good or bad for the crypto-community?

well, good news for NXT exchange rate - if anyone thought of selling NXT to buy into eMunie IPO. Also, anyone who wants to get into 2nd gen crypto currency for time being has only NXT  to choose.

Here are the first words from BCTnext " I’d like to announce Nxt (pronounced as "next") ". We should follow this intention and try to clear as much confusion as possible.

I just watched another great talk by Andreas M. Antonopoulos.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTPQKyAq-DM
He says that humans have a much greater experience in  securing things physically then digital.

And fully agree with that, that's why I have most of my bitcoin on a paper wallet, bip38 encrypted.

But how can we do this with NXT?

From my understandings you always have to connect a pass-phrase with an account, therefore you have to be online, which brings a potential security risk.

How can I securely store my NXT?

btw. Andreas isn't really informed about NXT and it's potential.

This may address your concern. A really cool project.  https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,728.0.html

I agree with this and I believe it's an excellent idea and naming strategy for marketing and promotion purposes.  The only thing I would change is the spelling and use the conventional correct spelling so it's easy for new users to find, spell, and search online such as:

Nextcoin
Nexttalk
Nexttrade

and wrap it all under one umbrella such as "Next Economy"?

I'm not sure about the "Next Economy" but I'm gonna definitely start referencing your terms in my upcoming Nextcoin videos unless I see a better naming convention.

Tai Zen

We have already discussed that several times. It is Nxt, not Next, and there is no coin in it. SEO is irrelevant.

So after I increased blacklist period 100 times, to catch wrongdoers long-term, and after 2 rescans in 30 minutes here is the list:

203.174.12.25
95.85.22.142
vps3.nxtcrypto.org
node1.nextcoin.it
node09.nxtbase.com
162.243.140.133
78.46.63.221
162.243.214.183
37.209.120.192
node3.nextcoin.it

How come are supposedly legit and trustable nodes feeding my node with garbage? Using NXT 0.5.5 on Win7 64 and Java 64 bit.

Another thing, if someone could tell why http://22k.io works for me but checking my address there returns Internal Server Error
that would be great!

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.
