What's the smallest worthwhile amount to get of nxt for an investment? I've got 16 LTC, not much.

I would recommend about 16 LTC.

Should get you around 10K - 11K NXT.

Avatar Creator and Signature Creator

Hey guys,

we from NXTarea.com created an avatar & signature creator. We currently have 5 designs for both. You can enter nicknames or text up to 16 symbols. The avatar size is 100x100, the signature size is 300x80. Smiley

This is to promote NXT further though the world wide web. We have to bring the NXT logo to everyone. Smiley

Currently avatars are deactivated on Bitcointalk.org because of the recent hack. I'm sure this will change in the future!

The avatar size on nextcoin.org is 65x65, not very nice. If someone want to contact the admin please do it, to change it to 100x100.

On forums.nxtcrypto.org it isn't allowed to use a .png avatar. I created a thread to let it changed. So please contribute to the thread! Smiley

Thank you very much.
To the Image Creator!

I hope you like them. Smiley

Thanks! Very nice. Used it for my twitter avi.

Sorry for the noob question: I`ve just read the essay from anon and it says the code is still not released? I thought it was? If not, when will it be "full open source"?

The recent hack a few months ago was due to the avatar script. There is/was a bug in the current forum software which allowed the hackers to gain access to something. (I didn't followed it, I don't know that much about it.)

If you wanted to sell the LTC directly for NXT without exchanging for BTC first, I can do that.

NXT VPS Server Donations can be sent here: 6044921191674841550
At the end of each month I will donate some of them back to the community.
This is separate from my main wallet so you can keep track of them. I will keep them in there and only use them for hosting.

http://www.nxtcrypto.org/nxt-coin/nxt-source-code-released-january-3-2014

So this is outdated?

"First, and most importantly, is NXT a pre-mined scam coin? Well, maybe, as of the time of writing we have not really seen compilable open source code. If you are concerned about this than I advise waiting for open source code that you can compile and run yourself before getting involved. However, if at the time of reading this there is compilable open source code then we can safely say, no, it is not a scam coin. One of the prerequisite characteristics of a scam is an element of secrecy. Such an accusation would be false here, for the same reason that Bitcoin bugs have used to rebut the same criticism against Bitcoin a thousand times. The code is open source. Open source software cannot be a scam because scams require secrecy and there are no secrets in open source code."

Sorry, I`m trying to keep up with the thread and I thought anon136 sent this to the bloggers after the release.

Hi,

I think we should pay attention to this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTPQKyAq-DM

1:22:40 - 1:30:25

Specifically 1:22:40 - 1:23:13 and 1:30:10 - 1:30:25

Andreas speaks about anonymity  in the core protocol before it goes mainstream.

That's a great excerpt. Andreas certainly doesn't mince any words!

If nxt makes it big than i would say that 10000 is about what you would need inorder to retire early and live well. it would be like having 210 bitcoins. (21million/1billion)*10000=210

No, when he wrote the essay, it was true. He then says "if at the time of reading...", which is now.

I created a simple interface for messaging, hopefully it'll be introduced in the next release..

Screenshot:

You can download it here : http://nxtra.org/messages.zip

Unzip, and move to nxt/webapps/root/

Then access via http://localhost:7874/message.html

I can integrate it into the client instead of Accounts with matching style.

Is it worth it or is the current client considered dead?
