    I agree with James that we need some marketing , but for more techies and for more early adopters (for those that missed most of the "trains" like bitcoin litecoin, they can get on this bus), not the end user the end user isn’t ready for nxt neither nxt for the end user ... doggie coin? well ok let doggy coin take the dumbs! we will take the devs and the marketers, nxt is already success ! we are in the stage of INNOVATION , were everybody that wants to get in needs to show some efforts to code code code for the community,contribute, provide goods and services...
    So please we are not dogy we are NXT, decentralized assets, exchange... and please promote in the places where developers need work (like Indian forums for example) this is what we need , developers & marketers.

Can't we just send 1M to salsacz and let him/her (which one btw?) to decide how to spend this money for marketing?

This is the complete plan.

1,000,000 would easily cover costs to get most things started (and finished).
We already know that some things on this list will only be important in a later stage.
I trust salsacz to handle the funds and he can also keep the community up to date about spending.

The budget is for NEW items. Look at the 2014 column and the numbers of each item.
I am sure salascz will be able to provide as much detail as possible. I think we have all seen the proven results. In order to plan marketing, you need to know what your budget is. Otherwise, how do you intelligently select where to spend money.

The funds do not need to be there immediately, but it is important to know how much will be available.
I nominate salascz to manage the marketing budget so it will go to all the places deemed valuable. Progress reports to be made as results come in and as long as community is satisfied, the payments continue.

Marketing groups have been underfunded as compared to the technical side. This is natural. I am not advocating DOGE style marketing. I am talking about funding NXT style marketing.

NXT needs a marketing budget. We have someone who has shown competence and can coordinate all the various marketing efforts. Then all the horrible disgusting marketing stuff will be distilled down to progress reports and the techies won't have to bother much about it.

Please fund salascz's marketing plan. Do not stop any technical development. this is using funds that are just sitting idle as the competition is catching up with us. Let us use the resources we have.

One of the things marketing at this point can do, is communicate that we are still beta. Much dissapointment and people leaving can be had from just doing that.
Get out the message that we are innovating and create a buzz that people will want to jump into as soon as it's possible for them.

That's what I mean by creating a wave. You want people to wánt it.

I also think we should do regular reports to the community what we are doing and have done. Results.

1. Nexern client released and debugged. It has to be perfect.
2. Giveaway 500 NXT to 500 people on forums- 250k
3. 750k initial budget for marketing released to those chosen as managers. They can start planning and budgeting now though.

What about going on some Bitcoin podcast like Let's Talk Bitcoin and such? There are many. They are big spreaders of news.

Nxt...we need validation from big crypto names, Andreas was one but even he doesn't full understand at this point what it is...

Validation is the key.

There is a reason why NXT is called a scam coin and still does, because we lack marketing. We are already a bit late to work on marketing.

All happening in next week or two. Marketing takes time. Plan, preparing it, releasing it. 2 weeks is not very long time

Then why are you so adamant on Marketing funding?
