Got one of these the other day:

It's a GSM modem.  So I wrote a little program to test it out.  A proof-of-concept, really.

Send a SMS text to [removed]* and account # 16228559550138619285 will copy it into the blockchain as an AM payload.  You can use NXTArea's AM Explorer to view.

I only plan to have it up for a short time as this is just a test.

I'll release the code under the GPLv3 in a little bit after I do some cleanup.  It's a mess at the moment.

*Edit: test was completed at 2:00GMT on 3rd of Feb. 2014.

Guys with cubietrucks, may I ask you to direct me to some good forums about solar panels / autonomous power / DIY?

There isn't a whole lot of information out there on 5V solar stuff, but it's pretty straightforward anyway.

All you basically need is a load/charge regulator, a buffer battery and a fitting solar panel.

Then, if you can come up with a nice large battery pack behind the setup, it can basically run independently around the clock. Just disconnect the the large battery pack and charge back up on a sunny day.

Has anyone tried to install NRS on LG Smart TV set?

My OpenWRT router has way too little RAM, otherwise I would have gotten it on there by now.

davethetrousers, ebereon wrote an article on how to do solar powered forging with the Raspberry PI. You should collaborate to either add cubietruck instructions to it, or write an equivalent how-to article:

Why is this so freaking hard to get this client up and running?

The start.bat shit keeps not working.

I've also come across three different versions of what should be within the start.bat file.

What should i put in there? and then when i double click it,if it doesn't run....then what?

@Jean Luc - we will be always in coordination with you, if we have to rewrite  everything in Java then this is what we will try to do..
@NxtChg , @jl777 - It seems that we cannot do this with you in the same team. I will try to find a solution so that you will work independently and we keep all options open (jl777 proposal, NxtChg and CfB's).

Not sure how I will manage this yet. I have to talk with other stakeholders too.

I am trying to run my start.bat file in the command prompt window, but it kept shutting down instantly. So i added 'pause' into the file and I see that it doesn't recognize my path as an internal or external command...but im pretty sure its the right path?  Huh

you need to point to the exact path of java.(in the .bat file)

for example: program files (86)/java/bin/java.exe

or change a variable in windows variables

or look at this video

Not being funny, but have u installed/updated Java?

If u have then:

java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar start.jar

or

java -jar start.jar

will do the trick

There is sometimes a problem with Java not being recognised by later Win versions, even after installation:

https://forums.bukkit.org/threads/how-to-fix-java-is-not-recognized-as-an-internal-command-or-external-command.139263/

so try the above , reboot and try to start NRS again.

It is in my sig
If you specify expiration date on your directed donation and no project earns it by that time, then it will be returned. However if there are potential projects that are active and close i woild hope that deadline woild be extended

Of course as donor of directed bounty, you would set the rules, we will enforce them. That is why i call it directed donation.
I believe this project or very similar with much smaller bounty was announced. While it goes against decentralization, it might make sense to pool funds and or dev resources. I encourage cooperation, but ultimately it is up to each person to decide
