Cryptography is one area where it is better not to reinvent the wheel and not to try to come up with homegrown solutions.

You mean like BCnext did ?  Tongue
He used sha256 and curve25519, he didn't write his own.

yeah but he modified them a bit, no?
That's why there is a 10BTC bounty for the NRS crypto algo audit

He modified EC-KCDSA, not SHA256 nor Curve25519.

Looked into this and as far as I can see currently this is not a client issue, but would be build into NRS first and thus set the standard that could then be implemented in clients.

No, this is definitely a client issue.

So my take on this is either full PBKDF2 or simplify it a bit and just do:

SHA256(randomsalt + SHA256(randomsalt + SHA256(randomsalt + passphrase)))

SHA256(randomsalt + SHA256(randomsalt + SHA256(random salt + passphrase)))

Why so many salt?

We did not  know that there was a 10 BTC bounty for an audit!

Who is running that?  Can we perform the audit?  The parent company name is CodeAudit corp,  that is what we do.

Who do we contact to set up the audit?

Is it possible to forge using an Android phone? I have an old one laying around and was wondering if it could be used for this purpose.

My fridge is quite dumb, it even doesn't close the door by itself.

That's....... unexpected.

Good twist in the storyline. This thread should definitely be published as a book.

There isn't a whole lot of information out there on 5V solar stuff, but it's pretty straightforward anyway.

All you basically need is a load/charge regulator, a buffer battery and a fitting solar panel.

Then, if you can come up with a nice large battery pack behind the setup, it can basically run independently around the clock. Just disconnect the the large battery pack and charge back up on a sunny day.

Has anyone tried to install NRS on LG Smart TV set?

My OpenWRT router has way too little RAM, otherwise I would have gotten it on there by now.
