I think the best way to store our bitcoin is using hardwallet. Its more safe storing our bitcoin on hardwallet because its not connected on internet. But if we not using hardwallet, we should keep our private key safe

All those things that you have listed are very helpful and fair enough, but I would say that until you would have at least $10,000 on your account, you won't be interesting for the main hackers who can hack the system.

Better get a hardware wallet especially if you had a great bitcoin holdings. As we all know that many are techie when it comes to Information Technology that could be able to access your computer online. So storing bitcoin safely is to use an offline digital wallet where it could never be reach by these smart people. I suggest save your bitcoin on a paper wallet it could be more advantage and safe to use.

Hi guys I know this might sound like a newbie question, but Ive not had enough bitcoin to think about putting any in cold storage since Cryptsy ripped me off when they went down But just lately ive built myself back up a bit, and just need to check my understanding of a creating a cold wallet is correct ? This is what I think was the best way but im not sure 1. Download latest BTC client 2. move to a pc not connected to the internet. 3. Create an address on that PC without internet. 4. Send fund to address created on PC with no internet access. 5. Save keys in safe place Also I was wondering if there are any 100% safe third party wallets that enable quick access if needed ? Sorry if my question has been covered many times, but I just don't want to make a big mistake. Thanks Rick Spread your bitcoins apart to many wallets. That's a way higher survival rate compared to keeping everything in one wallet. It's scary that you leave it in one wallet and neither should you access it in any connections you aren't affiliated with. Don't ever be reckless with bitcoins.

There are many ways to store bitcoin safely. You can do this by using hardware wallet and not giving out your private key and password to others.

The best way to store your bitcoin safely is by storing it on the cold storage. Never use web wallet for your safety. A client desktop wallet in PC is ok, you have full control on your balance. a ledger or trezor are good too.

Well, Bitcoin is so secure itself. But also there are something that you need to make sure, actually are they secure? Your wallet, your data storage place, the safe drive password etc matters. You can use the most suggested wallet, next step keep all the personal data to a hard drive and keep that away from the touch of internet so that the account can feel more secure.

yes you may try to store that on some pc or anything and try also to make some backup copy for some important files of your bitcoin.

I have always believed and will consider the most reliable way to store bitcoins - paper and portable media. in this case, the main thing is not to lose the device or data paper. it will also be important to protect your computer with the most reliable antivirus system and try to exclude visits to third-party sites.

Personally I'm using a Nano Ledger. As far as I know it should be very safe. Just buy it from a trustful shop, perhaps from Ledger stpore itself, to avoid the risk that someone could have manipulated the Legder beforehand.

Best place is to store it on a hardware wallet, that way your coins are safe from hackers. They will never be able to access your private keys since it never leaves your device. Good practice is to write down your seed words down on paper or metal imprint card and store them in a waterproof and fireproof safe. Good luck

YEs it is one of the best wallet that you can used if you want to store your bitxoin. But in fact the safety of our bitcoin was not only depends on our wallet but for also for us because every wallet have private keys so you must always remember and never foret it so that you have a back up for your wallet.

the most reliable methods for storing bitcoins today are the apple wallets in the form of a flash drive, on which keys are written. Such devices do not have access to the Internet and steal keys with it is practically not possible. the only risk is a breakdown and loss of a flash drive. as an example, the hardware wallet Ledger Nano S.
