That's crazy.... $0.01 USD per Doge... I don't think I will sell at that price though... For me $0.10 is the moon.

$1.00 is to the end of the solar system.

Dogecoin represents what I love about the world.  The primecoin/peercoin guy and a bunch of others can try to design whatever but whats big is always what appeals to the vast majority of people.  You cant design that.  It usually happens unexpected and by accident.  It wont be Bitcoin - Litecoin - Dogecoin.  It will be Bitcoin - Dogecoin - Litecoin.  Old people always disregard whats big with the 20 somethings and younger.  Its a repeat mistake thats made every generation.  The 30 somethings and older never learn.

You know, I feel a bit frustrated when I read about all these multi-dogelionairs hanging around. I only recently just started mining but my old nvidia card won't give me more than 10kh/s at the most and it keeps on crashing. Wish I had the money to buy a new AMD card but can't afford it Sad

It sucks when you know you have the opportunity of making money but don't have enough money to do so.  Undecided

+1

You dont need to look further than the insane world of micropayments in games; especially facebook games. The amount of money that gets thrown around in those is unreal, for items and objects that have zero real world reward, yet the younger audiences are drawn to them like flies around shit.

The buzz word in web apps these days is 'gamification'. Dogecoin is the perfect tool to 'gamify' the entire internet for the youth and i think will start to act as a 'score' between users.

Throw it and buy usage ati card. it's not expencive - nearly $100-$150 for usage 7850 or 7870. Everyone can earn this money offline for 2-3 days!

One more idea for gamers Smiley Sell your game money (gold, adena etc.), armor, weapon to doge.

Now a millionaire question:

Now we are around 60 percent 500.000 reward coins mined. What will happen now?
nothing much.  we've mined < 30% of all possible dogecoins, so it's only getting started.

most speculators don't know how to mine, don't know what mining involves, and don't know what a 'block reward' is.  halving block rewards doesn't make a difference to a non-miner.

dogecoin is more likely to experience a pump and dump on the day when block rewards are halved.  this will likely be done by a group of 'whales'  that will take advantage of people speculating on dogecoins.

otoh, someone taking an investor approach to dogecoin will largely ignore the day-to-day pumps, dumps, and flux, and live their life.

But are you a miner or are you just taking information looking at the charts?. I think that if there is halving of block rewards the miners who cannot acomplish with the difficulty of mining the coin after its price increases will make them think that maybe it's not so worth or affordable which makes a difference with the persons who have directly bought the coin and make transactions with it (in trade or buying/selling large quantity of different things hopefully in the future as there is no future for doge in any other way). Those persons expect the coins to have a real value the same way miners do, but the difference is in the people that buy it make it with money (USD, EURO, etc) and not with electricity and code...
you're preaching to the choir.  while i agree with certain aspects of what you're saying about the benefits of mining, that is really beside the point with respect to the price jumping after the block rewards halve in february.

nobody has given an actual reason why the currency value should go up:  halving the block reward only reduces the future earnings, and does not reflect on the present inventory of dogecoin.   There is no shortage of dogecoins now, nor will there be in february.

halving the block rewards means something quantifiable to miners, and means dick all to investors. the only thing that i predict will happen when the block rewards are halved is a bunch of speculators will use this as an opportunity to artificially inflate the price.  I'm using this opportunity to warn people that speculate on dogecoin not be drawn-in to this future pump-and-dump opportunity.

When I say that price will increase when rewards halve I am not taking objective facts because I can't find them. I am just expecting what majority expects. I have nothing against miners because I think that without them the doge wouldn't have so much success. And for a coin to have success I think that needs not many thinks but those are very important, and is people to trust the coin, useful to buy real things which other people accepts as a value for selling them, and a big community as this one that supports the coin and believe on it (including miners). I think also that there won't be lack of coins, but they will be more expensive to get, ans so probably many will try to get them as a run to the top which won't be such as you mention. I am not trader or speculator and I am almost new in this world of cryptocurrencies, I am just having fun joining this group and invested some money on this. In the case after some time I lose some of it or everything, I don't mind because I know that there is risk that it can happen. It could be a very good investment that is what I expect because I started when didn't have so much repercussion on media and cryptotraders and now seems one of the coins to stay long long time with us.

Don't be frustrated!  I know it is hard to mine with sucky hardware.  I had Nvidia cards, but now I have a new system with 2 AMD cards so I can mine quite a bit.

I started mining in the very beginning, was making a lot of DOGE at that time.  Now, not so much.

Anyways I donated 10,000 to you.  Hopefully that helps...

If your hardware is slow, don't bother mining.  Get some BTC and get on the exchanges and buy some DOGE while it is cheap.  1 BTC will get you several million DOGE right now.

Bullshit!
1. NXT != Scam
2. Have you seen the "Filter Non-Mineable" switch on coinmarketcap (upper right)?

0.01 USD per Doge is possible. As soon as halfing comes and multipools stop dumping it price will skyrocket. Doge is has and will have highest demand for quite a while.

If Bitcoin is reported to have a market cap of around 400 billion in the future , then expect to see at least .50 cents per Dogecoin.

1. NXT is a scam. The price is defined by one group of people who holds from the beginning all the coins. The role of mining is exactly to create a balance and the correct price for coins, by distributing the coins to anybody who joins mining.
2. Non-Minable coins are all some sort of scam, with companies or people holding all the coins and setting the price by their own wish.
