The pump is coming, not the dump.

And wtf is happening to dogehouse?
several pools where DDOS'ed tonight/day (fastpool and multipool), attack could be coming from litecoin community. but won't point any fingers :p

The last part was funny.
But seriously , usually ddos comes from others pools trying to get more users to mine with them and to eliminate competition.
Also it usually end up running away with user money Wink

I remember somebody offering a 48h ddos for 1 btc , but this was before the SR takedown.
If you're buying in bulk you can get a discount i assume.

Tried that - and it seemed to work, but I had lost my encryption, my wallet address, my history etc.

Luckily, i didn't delete, but moved...

After putting back my peers.dat and wallet.dat files, it works fine now.

Cheers.

I guess you meant "delete blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat ONLY" Tongue

Maybe you don't have this wallet installed. Last version, probably helps.

Kind of bummed out that the maximum doge that can exist is 100 billion, that seems like super overkill compared to btc's 21 million. just with that said it's almost a given that doge will never reach the same value as btc. I guess mining whole numbers is more fun. Well, 100 billion is better than 17 trillion, ami right people?

I will update again when it finalizes it's synchronizing.

Now it's working, I'll let it finish first, before playing again - but cheers.

What do you mean by "same value as btc" ? Of course it will never be the same... Even if it gets to 1$/DOGE most of us would be rich in a way... So that is much lower value per coin but great per quantity.

Hi!

I'm having a tough time connecting to the Dogecoin Network from my wallet.

Here are the things I have tried:
  • Multiple times adding new "nodes" and replacing conf files
  • Opened up all firewall rules (pfSense) to my IP
  • Enabled uPNP (on pfSense)
  • Changed computers
  • Reinstall QT client
  • Was sad Sad

I am even having trouble connecting to other networks as well.

Any ideas? Often times I can make connections via telnet directly to the Peer IP addresses but the client won't connect.

OS: Ubuntu 12.10 currently but have also tried on Win 7 x64.

Much thanks.

Try rebooting, it has worked for me with other clients.
