Another poster said this and  I just wanna say the same. Few  peeps I know wanna buy (EURO-DOGE)  but not tech savvy and when  you start to tell them  how to  do it  they glass over.  A direct exchange  is badly needed.

Most Europeans can buy with VISA card via Litebit.eu  Wink (Euro > DOGE)

True bought some yesterday, works like a charm. Create a wallet, buy through www.litebit.eu coins were there almost instantly!

The wallet should say how much blocks are left ^^
The blockchain is quite big now so it might take some time.

Just to know... Supposing you have many euros to invest now, do you prefer to buy mining rigs or directly Dogecoin?

Arcade gaming site http://justanarcade.com beta launched. Win from 100 to 50000 DOGE each day. Register, pay the contest fee, get your cubepoints and start playing the contests. You can see current contests under Active Contests on the right side. To play the contest, you will have to buy cubepoints with either multiples of 100 DOGE or 5 APC. Today's contests will end on 29 January, 2014. After you register, go to http://justanarcade.com/forum to see the DOGE / APC address to send the payment to. Once you have sent your payment, post your transaction IDs in the forum and you will get your cubepoints within 6 to 8 hours. That is the maximum time it would take to receive your cubepoints. It could be lot earlier as well.

I am going for more mining hardware as i can be sold if maked goes down.. but i think that the profit is bigger on going direct to Dogecoin

So it depens os the risk that you are willing to take. (i am keeping all of my doges for now)

Question for the Doge lovers/promotors:
I had the idea that if I want to promote Dogecoin,
I want to send it to many friends, but from my wallet I can only send to another valid Doge address.
Now, I can start generating wallets to send to my friends, but that may be awkward and prone to
abuse, because if I generate the wallet, I know the private key.
So, what I want to do is to have a way to send Doge to an *email* address.
In such a transfer, there should be a link to a "getting started with Doge" and "how to set up a wallet to accept the sent Doge"
so that it works the same way as sending someone a digital greeting card - they may need to go to a website to fetch it,
but it would be really beneficial if we can have a service to send Doge to someone who does not know Doge today,
so they can get started.
Also, if they do not accept the Doge after some time (say, a week) the transaction should time out and Doge return to sender,
similar to a mail item that is not delivered.
Of course it would also help if we have a wallet that does not need to download the 2GB block chain first, so this service can only
really take off after we have a "lite" wallet that uses the block explorer or other online chain tools for synchronisation.
OK, who knows about the send-to-email possibility to promote Doge, or should we develop that service first?

You can send DOGE by text message / SMS now: http://fido.pw/

http://bitinfocharts.com

Look at the spread of wealth:

Bitcoin Top 100 Richest Addresses    : 2,610,411 BTC ($2,040,981,280 USD) 21.23% Total

Dogecoin Top 100 Richest Addresses : 11,207,679,694 DOGE ($19,430,866 USD) 31.97% Total

Litecoin Top 100 Richest Addresses : 11,468,005 LTC ($232,642,588 USD) 45.66% Total

Quarkcoin Top 100 Richest Addresses : 146,675,579 QRK ($10,511,545 USD) 59.29% Total

Peercoin Top 100 Richest Addresses : 12,696,519 PPC ($54,230,456 USD) 60.24% Total

Well well well, looks good!

Bitcoin has had almost 5 years on the market, and it's only 10% better distributed than Doge, which is only a couple of months old! A good distribution of wealth is of course preferable, since it makes the market more stable and reliable.

It's called winning!
Dogecoin stats are now:
Top 100 Richest Addresses    15,351,007,921 DOGE ($23,073,864 USD) 41.26% Total
A gang of greedy shibes are turning our beautiful coin into something ugly! Still better than all other coins though, except Bitcoin.
I believe we're fighting a war against the banksters, who wants to keep their slave system in place. If you own less than 10 million doges DON'T SELL! If you own more than that, give some away or sell cheap to your fellow shibes.

Thanks for your replies, I've already 3 miners because I think mining is the safer way to invest but I'm really thinking about buying directly more DOGE now... Not an easy choice anyway. Maybe "both" sounds like a good idea  Grin

Does anybody know how to find a list of DOGE pool's?

Something similar to this
https://litecoin.info/Mining_pool_comparison

Any help is much appreciated.

Cryptography is one of the few things you can truly trust.

I've made way more by investing directly than by mining, and it's much more difficult to mine now.

I agree
If you invest into mining, and coin crashes you are left with mining gear you can sell ^^
Trading is a bit more complicated ^^

Doge , just like other coins is currently an investment  which might turn into a payments network or even a full currency.

Never ever did satoshi envision bitcoin as a redistribution of wealth or a commie dream so get over it.
