I just restarted with 16 connections to see if that helps.

Yeah consider how huge the doge chain is compared to most coins. Takes a long time to bring it up from scratch...
With that said, bitcoin does seem to be a bit faster with its database updates

im waiting on 4.699 bitcoins to be deposited into cryptsy so i can buy doge. its been 29 hours now. the coins have just vanished... i lost 1000 dollars already with the price of bitcoins dropping because of cryptsys stuff up  has anyone else had trouble like this with cryptsy? much annoyance very pissed so angry USE BTER !!!!!!!!
