I do not understand why so many Litecoiners are afraid of Đogecoin and want to change algorithm of Đogecoin or subordinated to Litecoin in the form of merge-mining?  Is it something about " First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."? It isn't fear... anyone that doesn't get that clearly does not understand the situation here. I have absolutely no worries about litecoin's survival. Dogecoin on the other hand, with rapid block halving and rapidly decreasing hashrate, is at risk of extinction if the devs/community do not act to secure the blockchain soon. Litecoin has no fear of being 'beaten out' by Dogecoin; rather, some of the litecoin community has actually tried to help Dogecoin survive - unfortunately, ignorance and stupidly driven by egos will probably result in a sad and premature death of the Dogecoin network rather then adapting and continuing to survive. OK. But from what has Litecoin fear? What can beat LTC?... BTC!!! If big ASICs arrive, what will be difference between BTC and LTC? So, big question is - Why is Lee actually trying help Đogecoin survive? Has Đogecoin something what LTC doesnt and what will distinguish it from BTC? I dont know... |

Doge halving is in about 16 days.
Then block reward will be 125,000 DOGE.
A couple of weeks ago I started buying DOGE for my mined BTC and holding them.
My hopes are that price of DOGE will rise as an effect of the halving.
All the multipools mining DOGE alot, what will they do after the halving?
1. Price will rise so they still can mine DOGE
2. They will find another coin
Any thoughts on this?

I guess as long as volume is high and people are actually trading it I might start to get into this. After all it is very cheap investment right now.
