good news:

WeLab Raises $160M in Funding Setting New Record
http://cointelegraph.com/news/welab-raises-160m

Quote
“WeLab could use the Blockchain technology to deploy a public ledger (restricted to its partners rather than the general public) containing information about the credit lines, missed payments and other valuable information which would enable its lenders network to optimize their application processing process – essentially the Blockchain would take on the role of a Credit Bureau.

Moreover, by implementing technologies such as EMCSSL+Infocard customers would benefit from a safer web-environment when filling out their applications for credit and reduce the risks of fraud.

Hi namjar. I'm not too familiar with Bitshares2.0. I can see link to exchange at https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/OPEN.EMC_USD

But how to make EMC deposits to OpenLedger?

You first have to set up a wallet at openledger here https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/create-account
Afterwards you can access your account. (Never forget to make regular backups of your wallet!)
On the left pane click "Deposit/Withdraw". If not selected choose "CCEDK" on the top of the right window. You will see your deposit addresses afterwards. There is an address for EMC too. EMC is named "OPEN.EMC" if you are searching for a trading pair.
But please be aware: To withdraw coins you always need a small amount of BTS. Therefore you shoud buy some BTS as your first action. Wink

Thanks Valermos! Do you know who controls the EMC deposit addresses. Is it CCEDK? I can't see EMC listed at https://www.ccedk.com/ so wondering where to find more information re: who's responsible for these deposits, and any trading or deposit/withdrawal fees, etc.

Is there someone who get the Emercoin Mac wallet run on Mac 10.7 or lower?
Just wondering because I am having problem to get it run. The wallet stops working shortly after start.
It is really unconvinent to manage the coins just by using paper wallets  Smiley

Does it gives any clue to the error if you run the wallet program directly from the command line? Perhaps it may tell you why it's crashing.

I don't know anything about macs so I'm sorry if that's no help. Hopefully someone will answer you who does use a mac!

I have read about massive pre- or instamine of Emercoin.
Is this really true?
Also I wonder a bit how small the community is for a coin that is in the top 10. There are no major exchanges (Bittrex is ok, but it's just in the second league if you compare the volume with Poloniex) where Emercoin is listed.

Thanks for clarification!

hi,

I mine this coin for the very first day as it was annunced by the developer into their
Fixx PeerCoin Pool as a new corrency to use for many future projects (and this is what make me mine it).

So there was no massive pre- or instamine of Emercoin.
Else I run an alternative pool for over 1,5 year (now it is closed for server upgrade until April) as I like the right approach developers did to the coin.

They focus onto develops new features (the one you now see in it) and for the first year they buy Emercoin (with $) at a fixed price that was very hight for a new coin and they direct people to exchange it for real object instead of other digital currencies.
This is why you did not find many exchanges active for Emercoin now.

Lets go behind 2 years: miners actually want only to mine and then sell coins at the most high values in exchanges, so if you find a coin without exchanges you are bring to not mine it.

I had not sell a EMC and else I will go to buy others for use them for DNS in some servers I had.

Dear Ice,

many thanks for the clarification. That have increased my trust in this coin and I have downloaded the wallet and will buy some more.
