Emercoin is in my radar for at least 8 months, the project is very interesting  and they are in constant motion, I personally beliave that emercoin have the potential to be picked by big corporations, Hopefully it goes well to emercoin and the future is bright.

I heard exactly the same negative arguments about Lisk, but thanks God i didn't listen the negative people, because of that i did a nice profit with Lisk and I still have 70% of my ico founds.
Lisk is.my champion and emercoin I really like it too.

Hello Axiantor,

If you try starting PoS minting via the padlock icon in the lower right hand side of the wallet are you getting the same result?

That is correct, you won't earn any interest from a 0 balance. The PoS rate is ~6% apr of your total holdings.

In that case i should be pool mining first for example at https://pool.emercoin.com/

If i use my local wallet would it be enabled to receive pool payments as it is unlocked for mint only?

Many thanks for your help!

Yes you will still be able to receive the coins if the wallet is locked for minting only. However the min age of the coins should be at least 30 days. So when mining new coins from the pool you will have to wait about a month before you can begin to expect any return from PoS.

A warm welcome to the EMC/CNY trading pair on BTC38. Though this pairing is not yet listed on coinmarketcap, it has stirred trade and interest over the past few hours.

Thank you for providing the explanation! Wasn't sure, as could not find the news behind today's increase Smiley Nice to see EMC liquidity improving so much in recent weeks, amid the positive directions the team is taking.

On a separate topic,

Do you have any indication as to when the Blockchainengine / EMCDPO watches will be available from raketa.com ? I understand it may take some time but I am keen to get one from their online store when they are available, so would love an idea as to the schedule - They are nice looking watches Smiley

Also on the subject of EMCDPO, I wondered if EMC team had heard about Chronicled.com and their authentication solution for unique products, which they are working towards making blockchain-based - including for Reebok's limited edition sneakers.

Chronicled's FAQ says they "are working on the Ethereum blockchain" but also that the "blockchain technology space is evolving dynamically and we are waiting for a winner to emerge".

So It sounds like they are putting the smart tags on the sneakers but still working on the blockchain layer.

I thought perhaps it would be something for the EMC team to pursue & maybe bring over to the EMC blockchain? Smiley

see http://www.chronicled.com & http://www.chronicled.com/faq

Hi LBX,

Is the blockchain still synchronizing and you're seeing performance problems or has it finished? Also what are the specifications of your computer?

@Emerger

Thanks for the heads up! As for the Raketa watches, I'm going to check with the rest of the team on that. This happened before my time as a team member  Smiley

@craslovell:
You closed the giveaway thread on the Emercoin forum. Is it temporarily or has it ended?

I think about to create a automatic Emercoin faucet that gives bits of Emercoin away. I do not have a VPS available to run a EMC node.

Therefore I am looking for someone honest who is running a node and where I can host the faucet. I could also integrate it in an existing Emercoin service.

It is closed for now however I may reopen it shortly. I was creating some ideas for a more involved giveaway which included a slightly higher amount of EMC, but after some consideration it may be best to stick with the current giveaway criteria for the near future.

As for the faucet, I think this is a good idea as well if we can be sure to protect from bots. There will no doubt be someone out there who wants to cheat the system. Perhaps this faucet could be hosted on an Emer Blockchain Engine instance on Azure? I believe they are still offering $200 of credit at this time with no strings attached.

Edit: I've also started a thread to provide feedback on the forum. Tyz, would you mind adding a "Marketplace" board?

Congrats to the entire Emercoin team as today marks a historic moment in the blockchain and currency. All time highs in both USD and BTC have moved EMC back up near the top of the cryptocurrency rankings. Doing 1.7 million USD volume in the last day certainly helps the liquidity situation with the addition of the EMC / CNY pair: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/emercoin/#markets

This price movement is a reflection of the hard work and industry leading innovation the Emercoin team has developed under the Emer blockchain. If this is your first time being introduced to Emercoin, I urge you to take a few minutes and visit the official website at https://Emercoin.com. Seeing the power of SSL done properly through a blockchain by using the service yourself (and understanding how it works) is a very empowering feeling. There are very few business worthy blockchain services that work as advertised available for use today. This is one of them, and it solves several problems we encounter today with our current implementations of internet security.
