Yeah Bitparking has: 2012-05-26: i0coin is temporarily disabled due to issues with the i0coin chain. I'm investigating and will reenable when it's working again.
That in the news. Looks like there will be an update to the i0coin daemon/client soon.

Same here, several larger transactions are not getting any confirmations, have been sitting around for hours still showing 0 confirmations but subsequent smaller transactions are being process correctly. So what happens to those "old" transactions with 0 confirmations?

It sounds like those transactions got rolled back in the chain reorg. They will never confirm if so and will always remain. It's the same thing that happened when my original i0coin exchange got double spent. I think the vircurex exchange owner will need to check their exchange transactions to see if there are any 0 confirms stuck. kr105, is there anything in the new client that could be related to this? Or is it just a malicious rollback?

Has there been a chain fork? Vircurex shows the current block as 329,592. I did a full chain download using the i0coin.bitparking.com client and it has the block count as greater than 330,000. What client is vircurex running?

Yes, I'll try a chain download using this and see if it's on a fork.

I use your 32509 client. I started it about an hour ago - downloading blocks up to 330475. Now -only about one hour later - and it's up to 330500 and counting (fast!) Hope this helps and the whole situation gets cleared up - I kinda like i0coin!

Yeah, I built from source using kr105's repository and I can't even connect to anything.

The version 32509 is throwing me an error here:
When typing i0coind getinfo it shows:
"testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1335232383, "keypoolsize" : 101, "paytxfee" : 0.00000000, "errors" : "EXCEPTION: 11DbException \nDb::get: Cannot allocate memory \ni0coin in ProcessMessage() \n" }
I guess thats the reason the download isnt working anymore. Any ideas (I have enought memory, some 4GB free)?

You'll need to delete your existing blockchain files (don't delete your wallet.dat!) and download the blockchain again. It should download successfully. It's trying to do a large chain rollback and failing.

I'll do that (after all the backups are done, dont want to loose anything). Fired up my Mac OS X daemon, same result, error, so seems to be OS independent (at least for Ubuntu and OS X)

I there there's a fix for it in the bitcoin tree. They had a similar error when they cause a fork at the time of BIP 16 and a release candidate had a date that it switched on too early.

Block is 330755, downloaded more than 10000 blocks in 10 minutes. Using http://kr105.com/i0release.rarMD5: b6e857ce844e3a9634e2cdb3d8789b6c SHA256: be7392209ed3bb00b8deabaf8394b83e79201ce2bce52be6d31d8044f6fa2996

Just stopped p2pmining.com i0coin merged mining. We where contributing about 10 Gh/s. I saw the DB error message in the getinfo message field. Any reason compelling to start merge mining this coin again?

I fired up my 32509 client again. It is normally loading blocks (no errors from getinfo), difficulty 5000 (at around block 300000 we "only" hat around 6000) and 1 block nearly every minute. Something feels strange. If the pools are offline -who is hashing? ... and with at least equal power as before (diff rising, fast blocks ...)?

Well - looking at the IP addresses where the blocks/coinbase txns are coming from will most likely tell you the answer. (I don't have a chain running so I wont be looking)
But taking a wild guess at it ... luke-jr also used to use his pool to merge mine I0coins so maybe he's doing something destructive again like he did to that other coin ... ?

The new I0coin-qt client (from post# 1652) is working fine too. I just downloaded the entire block chain with no problems. Has anyone tried mining with the new client? I don't know if it had anything to do with the crash. It's more likely because of two different client versions being used for mining at the same time. Maybe the BIP16 & BIP30 patches kicked in before the 1 Oct 2012 deadline. If the new client works miners should be migrating to it to eliminate conflicts between the two.
