that's the entire point of mining a coin from 0 difficulty.. you do get something even if you do not have a lot of hashing power, I am trying to upgrade my hashing power from the little I make, but hardware is very expensive where I live.. 1 R9 280x is around $500+shipping, a 290x is around $800+shipping
Where do you live? I live in Sweden where the taxes are fuckhigh and it costs $400 with shipping here (280x).

lol, you live in the dream land man. Here in Brazil ( highest taxes in the world and low salary) is that price too, unfortunately.
http://www.celebritynetworth.com/articles/entertainment-articles/10-countries-highest-tax-rate/
Sweden has the 2nd highest tax rate. Though a lot of people earn a lot of money, but the ones who cannot work (disabled, old people etc) earns well... shit. And it's expensive as fuck everywhere.
It's very hard to get a job without experience. If you have experience it's just hard.  Sure there is more unemployes in Brazil, but it's cheaper to live there too.

It depends on the point of view when talking about taxes. A country could have more taxes then others, but in general we earn nothing and we pay a lot. The minimum salary here it's ~280 US$ and families survive with that amount, what is not fair because politicians earn 40x more to steal from us. I earn more because I'm specialized and blablabla. But I would have to take off food from my kids ( just and example, I don't have kids [is the sentece right "take off food"  Roll Eyes ]) to buy a graphic card. You live in Europe, you have a lot of options to buy things there are lots of countries near you. I live in South America and it's very difficult to get stuff almost all countries are poor. I am lucky that I live near Paraguay that's a country where taxes are low for imported goods so I can go there and buy at US/EU prices.

Why is this coin getting that much attention from hackers?
Is it a threat for other coins? What motive could there be?

As a holder of several coins (not that much though), I am dissapointed with the marketing of this coin.
We should aim for much more publicity, before we miss the train.
No I am not talking pump and dump, but get as many early adopters as possible.. so this coin will have a broad and wide range of support.

Just my 2 cents though

I agree. I'd like them to market it as the preeminent gambling coin on the market. It would be a logical and unique path.

Yes it does, it is a relatively young altcoin..
If the cards are played right.. a lot of people will jump on this coin.

If we give them spending possibilities, they might keep it, or spend it.. and it will be exchanged.

also it seems a good way to drop difficulty... close up all pools for a few hours... make a Million or ten..
sell at coinedup for 0.2 BTC minimum per million. Tongue

Anyone has any idea how much it costs to ddos a server... say for 1 hour.. am curious to work out the cost effectiveness

Depends if your hiring or have your own botnet to control.
In the last option it doesnt cost anything except doing something very illegal that could get you caught.

Tried to buy the LOT4 a few days ago for 410k lot but accidentily sent my money to the LOT3 address. Contacted him and got a reaction in 20 minutes that my money was returned. Still got nothing! Sent him 2 or 3 mails to ask him about it but didn't get any reaction anymore. Anyone has seen this guy?

Don't worry about the 0 shares thingy - that fixes itself.

It's due to the way stratum works, the rate at which we are now finding blocks, the bulk loaders on the DB and i think the dodgy client. I'll look into it all over the next few days but for now consider the 0 share block normal. They will update after a few minutes once the crons fire and re-order the databases and assign shares to blocks. No blocks/payouts are being missed but they may be delayed...
