Ill start a giveaway, do you guys think that 1k LOT per account is fair enough for people to get involved? Have earlier had IFC giveaways with 150IFC each and that has got well respond.  If you guys care to donate to this cause would be nice.

Just do it, I can give you a hand.

The previous give away a couple of days ago, I got 300 LOT which I felt pleased with. Don't have any more just yet but do plan to buy some soon, hoping for a LOT launch on Cryptsy in the next couple of days. 1K LOT per account may be a bit too much in my opinion. Better to advertise it via different channels: forum / twitter / temp website / IRC ?

Mate you're irritating now. This is not a place for text war. I'll let you win if you want. You want 10K? Give me your address and let's stop this bs
else stop complaining about your failure

Who's complaining about failure?   That's a very one sided take on complaining about somebody else cheating the system.  What you have done is cheated to get (on lot2) a 60% return on your investment on all the low purchase prices, leaving everyone else to play the risky game with higher purchase prices.

Ask yourself a question.  If you found a way to give yourself an advantage in a Vegas casino by scripting or not playing the game the way it was meant to be played and won, would the casino think you are playing fair, or would you be in the back having seven shades of sh*t beaten out of you?

You want to see what other people think of your behaviour?  Let's ask.

Anyone on this thread think it is acceptable behaviour to use knowledge of scripting/HTML to give yourself an advantage on being able to buy the coin bombs before anyone else?

What you are annoyed about is that you thought it was perfectly fair, yet its dawning on you that people may think differently.

You gave an analogy of using scripting to beat bots on another website.  This is as far removed from the spirit of this coin as you can get.

This is lotto coin, by its very design from its mining to the games being played with it, the coin incorporates "luck" at its very heart.  What you have done is circumvent this luck and have cheated others in this community.

Call it a war of words if you want.  I'll call it a standing up for honesy, integrity and the spirit of not just this coin, but also the community.

You have people crying out to try and get the popularity of this coin increased, people working hard to set up pools, games, marketing for this coin, and your actions are simply spitting in the face of all that work by cheating.  If there were a way to ban you as an individual from taking any further part with loto coin then I would hope that would be done, but it can't, so being known as a cheat is all that can be done.

I'd rather you donate the 100k or so you made from getting lot2 several times last night to the jackpot or something else for the community.

Although im not dumb, and if anyone else wants to send me anything for standing up for the spirit of this coin, I'll gladly accept  Cheesy

I got a gentle request: can one sort out the data feed to cryptocoincharts so that we get some clearer view on the trading activities that have been done / ongoing ?

I was actually about to mention this.
http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/

Please send a message over to them to list LOT.
And hopefully we will have that ABE Block Explorer up soon so we can go up on Coinmarketcap.com

Why isn't there a prebuilt client for OSX?
Having to build from source makes it quite user hostile, oh and btw, the documentation still says litecoin...

cant believe how much this coins sucks when solo mining now :/

used to get about a million a day (even had two super blocks) but now i get about 60k every 6 hours! I used to love mining this coin because the rewards were satisfying and exciting, but i think its time to move on Sad

cant have it both ways i guess, fingers crossed we can get the price up to doge levels!

Eh dude... You'll get like 1btc per 500k later on...
0.2BTC per 100k.
0.02BTC per 10k (per hour)

You should start pool mining instead.

Difficulty fluctuates so much at present that solo mining without massive hash rate is really a big gamble.  its fluctuated between 4.8 and 9.8 in the last hour if Im reading correctly.  If you are not lucky with solo mining when difficulty is at 4.8, then odds are against you on when difficulty rises.   If its a standard payout coin, then its personal choice as over a long period of time there should be no real difference.   However, with this coins built in "luck", then imho pool mining is the way forward, as it irons out the luck element of the coin payouts and provides a steady income.

If I was one of the big hash rate guys with 30/40K hash, then solo mining may be worth a try.  For the vast majority I think pool mining is the only sensible option now the difficulty has risen considerably.

no man lol, i can surpass at least one time a day a "diff" in 250k-500k range on cgminer, with just one 7950, surely you don't need 40k(you mean 40mh/s?)

Sorry yes - I meant 40 m/hash.

So you are making 250-500k a day with one 7950 Huh?   Either you are the luckiest son of a b on earth, or there is something wrong with your adding up (no offence intended).   Im mining with 2 x 7990 at a total of 2.9M/hash but couldnt hope for more than 250k a day at the current difficulties.

It is tempting to split the rig 50/50 pool and solo mining, but given the inbuilt luck of this coin and the current difficulty - its pool all the way for me.  Gone with the largest pool as well in order to maximise chances of sharing the bigger super blocks.  Ive tried both deviants pool and the nut2 pools.  Had various connection issues with both in the early days when they were being DDOSed, have had stable connection on nut2 for a couple of days now, and I have no reason to doubt that deviants pool is also now stable, just I havent bothered to change my rig over between the pools recently as I have had no need to do so.  Id happily reccomend either of those pools.  No preference either way - they both fix issues promptly, they both post here too.   No offence to any other pool manager - these were just the two I tried.

Keep in mind to ALLWAYS set up failover to a secondary node. That way you still mine if a node gets DDOSED.
Which is why nut2pools use multiple stratum nodes for better resilience
