HackShardGaming.net Pool has had yet another Serious database crash due to the massive DDOS attack earlier today. Most people have had there coins automatically transfered out but some people did not request auto payout.  I cannot figure out exactly what I'm going to have to do but I think we are going to have to have yet another website wipe.  These DDOS'ers need to grow the fuck up and stop screwing up all my damn hard work.

Sorry to hear that man. I'm glad to say I got my coins out before anything too serious happened.

Good luck and please let us know if/when the pool is revived!

Pool will be online in a few minutes.  I am creating a new wallet so that the cron jobs don't pull blocks from the old wallet (all of them) and attempt to pay everyone all over again.  There was definitly not 85 million coins left Tongue

Just watch for the pool to catch back up.  I think I saved everyones worker names and user names since they don't change to often.  The only data that got corrupted was the payouts tab. the transaction tab. and all the blocks.  That is where everything is stored including your current balance.  I have posted there and I will post here.  If you have any proof of how many coins you had BEFORE this crash PLEASE send me a message on these forums and I will get your coins to you.  We had about 1 million coins leftover after Fees.  That means I have about 1 million coins from people that mined on the pool.  If you do not contact me in reguards to these in 24 hours or you don't have significant proof of ownership I will claim the coins to help pay for the pools server bill.

Deviant question:

For the logic behind DDOS'ing a pool.

If all the pools get closed by ddos wouldn't that mean that mean network hash rates drop as a result.
As a result difficulty will adjust itself to compensate, for that every 30 seconds.
Which should result in solo mining becoming profitable for the duration.
After all, i doubt many are going to solo mine a new coin.

I wonder if someone see's this as a way to make an investment. Despite the amount spent in crapping out 4 pools it could very well work out to be extremely lucrative.

Is there a way to track which IP solves a block?

I do not believe you can track which IP solved a block.  I may be wrong though.  but yes you are correct.

I just checked http://lot.hackshardgaming.net/

What happened to all my LOT coins?

I mined 20k and they're all gone...

Please read the news page.  Send me your address via PM here on this board and I will send you your 20k.  Our database got corrupted yet again.  This is why I request people to setup an auto payout.

again?
I will set my auto payout to the lowest possible. But I think I lost 1k Embarrassed

I did read the details and I quoted from the first page of this thread.
One of the repliers mentioned that the block rewards had already halved once.
According to the info on the first page of this thread, then that means that the coin has been mined for 3 months already.
I then did some math to show you how many coins there may be.

And think about this. If I pay $100 for 50 million coins, there isn't anyone who would buy those coins off of me at this time, therefore I would be buying an illiquid investment, or I mean, I would be taking a loss right now.

It is right now that i was trying to buy some coins.

Due to the fact that I would be taking a loss, therefore my offer is very generous.
Why should I even pay for something that has no value to anyone else, and they will not pay me for those, if I decide I want to sell later on in the day? No reason to buy that today.

In order to have the values you are talking about, would require that the coin be much more liquid, which it is not at this time. therfore the coin does not have that value today.

Get the coin onto an exchange and with lots of buy orders, and then it may have more or less value, but we don't know because its not on an exchange yet.
There is only one exchange where any new alt coins are being valued higher nowadays, and that is cryptsy
I mentioned to you, that cryptsy may not be interested in a premined coin. That means the coin becomes less valuable if it cannot get onto the premiere altcoin exchange. The other exchanges have hardly any volume at all, and the coin will fall to way less than what I am offering if that is all you can get the coin onto. I am giving you what I believe to be some really good logic.

It may be a lucrative investment, or it may be almost completely a loss. We do not know as yet.
There are many factors to consider.

No offence intended.
I give up. I will wait until lottocoin gets on an exchange, and we shall see what the price is.
Best of luck to all of you though Smiley

The coin was released Dec 12 and was giving double block rewards for the first 3 days. The 3 days have passed so the rewards were halved. Get it?

I don't understand your assumptions.

For some reason you seem to disregard everyone when they did answer you properly.

I would suggest that the next time you look into investing in a coin you read the details on it first.

The coin hasnt been mined for 3 months. Its barely been 5 days.

Being Friendly does not help... when its followed up by ignorance and a large dose of condescension.

Answer yourself this.. would you sell something to someone for 2 dollars if it was worth 400 dollars on the everyday market. Have you ever heard the term "Your offer is an insult".. Congratulations you managed to give me my first contextual experience with it.

Your right its not traded on the market. Which is what makes it a lucrative investment.

TY so much for your Generous Donation of 600 coins!!! haha Tongue j/k but yeah.  Thank you for setting up auto payout on your account.  This is the reason I have it listed to PLEASE setup auto payouts!  I hate it more then you guys do when you don't get your coins.  The first glitch I ever had actually ended up paying multiple people twice the coins they actually earned.  This time it didn't pay anyone at all. it just corrupted the database.  But as I said. 1m coins on an 90 million coin day? that means people actually do listen and they put on auto payouts so that makes me extremely happy.

lol it was just an attempt to give our coins a wee bit more exposure as a lottery coin..

Could have been fun.. but with the new prospective outlook on the value of LOT even i think 50k per bid is too much. I expected mining to be harder but its a good bit lower than i estimated.

I could have lowered it to 10k or even 5k a bid but since no one was interested i think i will just close it.. How does one close their own thread.. besides locking it.
