My auto-payout address for coye was basically changed and abt 15k got sent somewhere else. I then checked my lot account and wallet address was changed there as well and a manual payout of 600 LOT was taken out.. its small in the scheme of things.. but the problem is that i wasnt the only one.. There are at least two other complaints that i am aware of on the coinye thread abt this occuring.. so please check your payout address

You probably used the same password and pin on a fraud coye pool you signed up on before you were mining with us.  Think about it.  That was probably the goal of a lot of fraud websites out there.  Or you could have malware as well.  But blaming a well established and trustworthy admin/pool for taking 15k coye is a bit off the wall.  I haven't had time to research in to this as this is the first I've heard of it.  You made no attempt to send any emails to me that I can see.  This all sounds a bit odd since you have not made an attempt to go through the support channels and contact me.

Anyways, i'd love to look in to the matter for you.  Send me an email admin@dedicatedpool.com

In the meantime I'd suggest the following just to be safe:

1. Reinstall windows immediately - don't take anymore chances with possible malware.
2. Change all your pins and passwords.  Use a password manager to record them all such as Password Safe or something.

hope this helps!

Ryan, dedicatedpool.com support/admin
admin@dedicatedpool.com / IRC on freenode #dedicatedpool

Thanks for the note i sent you a pm though as i did i try to send you an email from your support page.. i got an error stating that i could not send an email to you. As for coye.. your literally the only pool i mined at.. as i mine lot there as well and i trust your service.

Anyway i will send you an email.. and follow up with a password manager

*edit* by the way i wasnt blaming you i was just asking users of your pool to be careful.. as it wasnt an isolated incident so i thought it would be good that everyone checked their payout address as well

Thank you so much for your reply.

Okay, I am just not in the office at this point but when I get back I will have a look in to the situation and see what happened.  Maybe we can find an IP in the logs and go from there.

As you know I treat all miners the same, no matter if they have 1KH/s or 100Mh/s rates.  I want everyone to be happy.  Let's get to the bottom of this.

Personally I'm suspecting that you might have used the same password/login on other fraud pools.  I've heard of admins.. well I don't want to say how they or what they're doing because that'd give people ideas.  But trust me, there are some bad people out there.  USE different passwords on other pools than what you would use on dedicatedpool.com.  We can be trusted, but can others?

Thank you so much, talk to you shortly today.

Ryan

Don't forget to vote if you haven't done so already: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397540.0

While we have a sizable lead don't forget a large chunk of the votes are being (unfairly) removed Sad

Cointography Lottery comes to Lottocoin!

http://lot.cointography.com/

I've just finished creating the Lottocoin version of my game! It's a very simple concept and there are instructions at the bottom of the game with how to play.

If you have any questions or notice any issues, please let me know!

You should PM mrlotto to get it added to the OP, and I think there are still 1M LOT bounties for games.

I'm heading to bed now but if anyone has any questions about the game I'll answer them when I get up in the morning. Good luck to anyone playing the games!

Until they get bashed down, and then Lot makes it back to the top.

Multipools wont change, people looking to sell in order to cover electricity bills and graphics cards wont change.  The only thing that will drag a coins value up above the rest is more reasons to use the coin.  Payment for real world tangible items.  Or hold the coins until the block halves.

When the block halves with value wont double overnight, but the concern is - will it be a race to the bottom by people just automining and selling the other coins down to the value of the one that just had a block halving, or will that one slowly rise back up to make the daily value on the average mining rig the same.

My theory, mine and make a bit of money now for a bit of fun.  Hold a percentage of the coins of all different types and maybe make a nice sum if any of them go wild.   If I had mined coins years ago and had just 2000 bitcoins today I would kick myself for not holding the other 10,000 that I may have autosold, but heck, I'd still have a couple of million dollars.  If I had autosold everything and had zero coins in my wallet, Id probably be looking for a rope. lol.

Is anyone prepared to take the gamble that ANY of these alt coins will not go up in value like bitcoin?   If there is even the slightest chance, isnt it worth holding at least some of your mined coins back, even if you are selling?  Will it be LOT?  DOGE?  LKY? CAT?

Who knows.  You have a chance to back every horse in the race right now, so why not?

i agree with you it's always better to sell the mined coind and keep holding some coin , specially for new coins where the diff is verry low
after 3 to 6 months you can earn very good profit when you sell the holded coins who know
bitcoin jump from 200 to 1200 in just 3 months ........

This is something I was just thinking about recently. I have actually gone back and bought small amounts of coins that I had sold off completely in the past. If one of those coins blew up, It would bother me to no end.

Dont forget the not so profitable ones that have been around a long time too.  LTC, FTC, ANC etc..  If LOT can establish itself and diferantiate itself from the crowd, there is no reason it cant become on par.  Though the key is having a coin used for more tha just online games.  They are fun, but you cant really do anything with LOT until you turn it into something else.  If you can turn a coin into $ without first converting to BTC/LTC, then thats when the value will start to increase.  Along with the difficulty.

EDIT:  on another point, what idiot buys at 16, when the highest buy order is 14?  Just stick an order in for 15, and the auto sells will fill your order and about 6% cheaper than the 16 buy.   Whatever.  Use the BTC to buy a calculator.

I think those buys at 16 are from a bot. I've seen it go back and forth buying and selling in small quantities.

Hmm C3ALL I distinctly remember you complaining about people pumping on here with "to the moon" and "get them while there low, it wont last" type stuff. I guess now that you bought some LOT at a low price it's a different story now?

...because it seems like it...

Do our miners get screwed in these cases, or does it all come out in the wash after the attacks?

Well I noticed that my GPU's disconnected a few times, so that is basically lost mining time we aren't going to get back.

Other then that not a big deal.
