Coin to death.

lack of interest of community and no activity in the forum
decrease of difficulty
decrease of price

There are people who have a steady income of MMC but do nothing to keep alive the community around this coin  Angry
That's it!Somebody should do something to change it.

I think the diversity is causing this fall Smiley So many new coins come out but the demand still low in comparison... when something big will happen in the society we will see Rush 2.0 like it was in November/December !

ps: something big like US or EU collapse, US like URSS(in many smallest countries) and EU like before the EU. We never know what will happen in few years.. imagine USD, EUR or YEN will crash... look what happened in Cyprus, when people can't take the money back from ATMs. The panic will be huge if Spain or Italy hits the same crises.

For CPU mining, is it a good option to switch toward Heavycoin or maxcoin for example?

As I have been looking at the price drop of MMC and some other CPU based coins it seems that a big part of the price drop is all the scrypt pools that have come online recently.
They all mine the most profitable coins and the CPU coins are not mined that way.
That is not a bad thing as it helps keep the difficulty down.

MMC is definitely not a dead or fading coin.
There will be more pronounced ups and downs with most CPU mined coins.

There is too much collective inertia invested in the current paradigm. It will shamble on.

You hope that large economies collapse and that people can't get cash from ATMs? Or that there will be a new rush?
The easy money has been made my friend, the next push of cryptos will likely be a lot slower and less manic. Who knows I could be wrong though.

i bet mmc is going to be a lot more expensive after a year. the less coins the more value. Its as simple as that.

Take a look at a 42coin chart. There needs to be demand for more value.

I was pointing out the chart, it was something mad like 500BT per 42 when it was released. There is pretty much zero demand for it.

It should use a good chunk of memory.  If you have 8+ gb you can actually setup huge pages in windows and get a performance boost as well.
Make sure though that if you are wanting to use the system to leave one thread or core free to do so and match memory use to the amount of threads you are using.
