They are so called whales, group of bitcoiners that hold decent amount of btc, mainly from China or so they say. They won't call them like that if they don't have the ability to manipulate the price. They can pump and dump if they want.

I think whale's are the reasoning person behind Bitcoin or the market pricing now. They can do manipulating for they have power to do so for they hold huge bitcoin. I hope they will make the market turn to green again to give hope the hopeless for profit.

There is a possiblity that they could manipulate the price of bitcoins because they have the chance to do it but as long as there are no evidence that will point them, it is still a speculation. And also, this kind of situation in the crypto market certainly happen in the early and mid quarter of the year. I'm sure it will increased again in the last quarter. Same as what happen in 2017.

I think so. If not, why would they say that the price of Bitcoin is being determined by the rate of investment? If it is being determined by the rate of investment that means that anyone can put in a very huge amount of money, maybe up to a million dollars, to move or pump the price, and once it’s up they will immediately withdraw the money which result to what we all call a dump. So it is  possible that whales can manipulate the price of Bitcoin.

Yes that is their job to manipulate their market tokens. Manipulating the price of the tokens thats why trading now are so unpredictable. Im so upset that the whales are existing and whales now are so huge so no one can stop them. Cryptocurrency whales nowadays are so aggressive they want all of the money so they are so aggressive

There are whales in almost every business in the world. I thought that I should start medicine business but one of my friends told me that you have no big investment and there are anacondas in this business that will never let you make money in this sector. The same is here is crypto world. Whales will never give you a chance of making money in cryptocurrency because they manipulate the market when they want.

I agree, it's like you said for now, but I'm sure this situation will change in the future. The whales will not be holding their coins forever intact, they need some other currencies (fiat ones) to spend in real life. Yes, they earn that due to manipulations these days, ending up with the same amount of BTC as before plus some good amount of fiat. Basically they exploit stupidity of panic sellers today, but I'm sure that people will not stay this stupid for long. And beginning from that time when most regular holders will stop being affected by FUD, whales will start selling their coins without getting them back afterwards. And then I think in 2-3 years max the situation will change dramatically: we'll have much less coins collected in the hands of whales and much more in the wallets of small investors. Manipulations will almost stop then.

I don't think the current market status has a lot to do with whales manipulating the markets. Whales can manipulate the market, yes! But too much "artificial" manipulation can lead to the severest form of FUDs which might deter new crypto investors. I bet the whales don't want that to happen.

Indeed! a lot of whales are manipulating it but we cannot do something about it at the moment since that is their way of earning and it is their advantage because they believe in it so much, so if we really believe in it too then we must know how they works or how they play the market by studying their action.

Theres nothing important for them but profit,so what do they care about what will happen in investors or even the whole market as long as they are gaining good income from what are they doing

Absolutely right sir we have no concrete data or analyzation if big whale can manipulate the price all I can see the demand of the coin can gain a huge pump up in a short period of time, some expert and bitcoiner believe that big whale can manipulate the price all idea can be happen.

yes you're right it seems that whales do often manipulate prices in exchange places you can see it from when there is some good news and bad news for cryptocurrency there will be whales trying to make many people panic so it will be easy to move the price in the market.

Of course, they do it constantly. They can easily change the situations in the market when they start to sell all of their actives or, vice versa, buy a lot.

Of course, the Whales do have a major role to play in the pumping on some markets. I did first experience it last year with the bitcoin red having it with a sharp increase being pumped within some few hours. They control the markets to the direction they want it to be most of the time.

Yes! I so think so too. Whales actually control the prices of crypto currency by buying and selling at the most opportune time. Then again, it's also our fault for letting coins be available in the market. We should always hold and buy more so we take the control from the whales. Of course they do, I believe they are the reason the price of Bitcoinkeeps on fluctuating up and down. We do know that the price of Bitcoin is volatile, but if everyone ismaking normal investment I don’t think it will fluctuate that much like it does.It’s due to the whales that are putting in heavy amount of money to make the price go up and down so they can make profit out of it. Well, if not volatility, what else could be the fun of investing in Bitcoin. At least we make profit from the Hodl.

The whales always control the market to how they want it for their own gains. Some may not understand how it works, but it is a way for them to send signals to traders in the market either to buy or sell after they must have made substantial gain from accumulating or distributing respectively.

It is even easier in a decentralized market, where the market cap is a lot low and that gives them more chance to accumulate for the future.

Whales could really manipulate the market especially if they have the money for it and we are not talking about small amount. This had happened before, whales could help in making the price of bitcoin higher by buying so they could also do the opposite which is making the price dump by selling. But it is also not right to blame it all at them for the kind of market which we have can be affected by many factors like @Snaic mentioned.

This dumping and pumping of the price only proves that the market is alive but  I think that the market is healthier when there are small fluctuations because there is a balance in selling and buying.
