If the futures market had the same leverage it had in December throughout 2018, the price chart of bitcoin should have had demonstrated similar volatility and intensified downward movements. But, bitcoin suffered three major corrections in 2018, and each successive correction recorded lower sell volumes and drops.

it seems that maybe it could be the price whales manipulation by utilizing some news in their media to make the price of bitcoin down and up with capital like whales then it could happen. no one can defeat the whales.

Even tho i think that the whales are playing a big role in the major pumps and dumps that are happening every once in a while , yet i don't think that all the hips and dips that the market goes through is because of them because these people won't be orchestrating a highly coordinated moves and putting billions of dollars on stake for some mood swings or over a few hundred dollars of worth per coin because that is simply not worth doing .
Moreover , we have seen the market falling many times just because of FUD , and i don't think that the whales are behind that too even if they practically can , yet once again fake crashing the market too many times won't be in their favor .
I have also decided the same because we don’t know them in detail and there is no need think about them. There is nothing to worry about whales because we could not control them in any way. We don’t have money enough for competing them. They have so many bitcoin beyond over limits. We better focus on our goals and profits rather than worrying about something that is not in our hands. |

Possible chances are there because sometimes within a short period of time the coins will start increasing their prices. Yes, whales will manipulate the market according to their benefits because most people will panic when the price starts decreasing. So they will grab the low valued coins in the market.

yeah maybe the whales manipulating the price of market. because got huge money to invest and to sell. if there someone who invest to a one currency with a huge amount there big peobability that token gonna pump because someone buy huge amount and if someone will sell it will immediately dump thats the nature of market

Hi guys ,
Do you think the whales are manipulating the markets ?? Has any one noticed that the current bull run that has been on for the last few weeks comes to a halt every time it reaches the 10 k mark and slides down . My theory is that whales sell at 10k and then create fud so market slides down only to buy back and pump . What do you think ?
Maybe sometimes whales manipulating the crypto market because some people are panicking they sell it there holding so whales grab the opportunity to buy it. That's why we don't need to be panic because you give a profit to whales when you sell your funds in low price. Yeah, big investments will contribute in the activation of market value because all we need at this stage is the increase in demand rate which will increase the value and will lead us into a better market. The value has dropped further around 5.8 k dollars and this will recover after big investments. So invest more in the market because this is a better opportunity for us as well because the low price is in our circle. |

I can not say that the whales truly are manipulating the market, but I think the whales are a great factors of the price market volatility.,because the whales have huge capital, so this big groups might be the factors that cause the rise and fall of market price value.

So far that is what I have on my mind because they have that capability to control the market.
Yeah I am sure not thinking that whales are manipulating the market and they have great influence over the crypto market and the price as well. In these days people think that the fall in the price is because of them and when they want the price will grow again. This is the worst thing in crypto market and avoids new investors to put their money in bitcoin. |

Such a situation is very probable, but it is difficult to state unequivocally. Certainly someone or a group with large amounts of money is able to influence what is happening on the market. However, proving this with 100% certainty will not be easy. |

I think that whales are not manipulating the narket but they are considered one of the factors that make the price value of the market changes every now and then, but there are aldo factors that affect the volatility of the coin in the market place. |

Yes still a number of good investors are there who have a big amount of money, and can manipulate bitcoin, they not only manipulate bitcoin but a number of other good coins are there from where the big whales are getting good profit. They jut waiting for the suitable time, and when they realize the best time for their investment the put their money in bitcoin or any other currency and get their benefit so easily. I agree that the market stabilizes when the demand rate is going well and the fluctuation graph is not so much, I mean to say that there is less difference between increase and decrease price so it will gain stability. This is only possible if a lot of people invest in it which will provide a support for the Bitcoin and once the demand rate gets stable then the price will manipulate from the current low situations. |

of course they manipulate the market or in any case try to do it. the current drop in prices I personally associate with the desire of new institutional players to enter the crypto market "cheap way"

There is a possibility of manipulation over bitcoins.
But we need to stay focus and avoid negative thinking.
Because all we want is more profits.
Whales in this kind of industry are very rare. I think the main man who are responsible for this unstable value are the one who against to BTC or cryptocurrencies.
Because they hired some groups to crashed down the operation of bitcoin and uses fakes news or advertisement.

Whale manipulation is one of the main reason I think, that the market had such a big drops in a very short time lately. Too bad there is nothing we can do about it.

Well, we don't have 100% sure that this kind of people are manipulating the price of all cryptocurrencies but there is a possiblity that they did this. I mean, they can control it because they have the capabilities to do it and changed the flow of crypto market.
I agree, we are not sure about these speculations but there is a possibility that these are true. Lets not get swayed by them and just wait until bitcoin price increase and rise again. And even if they can manipulate the price dont let them manipulate you. |

Yes, I think so, but I think they are not doing that continuously just from case to case. So whenever they want to buy, they can contribute some how to dump strategy. And vice versa.

in some cases i would say yes! intentionally or unintentionally, this whales have the own the marketcap necause they have huge money that place in the market. any movement of that money would surely affect the marketprice. we as a small player, should be keep our attention to the whales because if we ride their moves we certainly get huge profit.
